I'd forgotten about that - anyone taking orders for the MC Components at the moment?

No its a **** up definitely. They werent even going to sell them in stores until a couple of weeks before launch remeber. Component is pretty much like RGB scart for over there regardless of new flashy HDTV. I never even saw a S-Video cable either. Its like as part of their stance against going HDTV they've just decided to be stubborn buggers with anything remotely connected to it, even a cable.

I have one on order at play-asia.com and nothing on yesasia.com so any other suggestion for alternative backup.

That's right, Nintendo of America aren't even selling the Wii S-Video cable are they?
What's going on with that? A lot of US TVs still have S-Video as their highest quality input.

I'm just glad composite looks half-decent on my display.

If I were makers of home cinema cables (such as Ixos), I would start making wii component cables to sell.

Have anyone checked Monster to see if there is one from them ?

Yeah, same here - I'll be able to stand it until I get my Component cable.
At least I actually know I'm getting a Wii!

3rd party cables available to preorder here: http://superufo.com/product_html/Nin...ent_Cable.html Don't know if they're any good though.

Just got the Game email too

Has anyone who's ordered an RGB Scart had a similar email or not?

                        Ditto.

Some enterprising soul on Ebay has already started making his own and is selling them for only ?30 delivered.

edit: make that, starting at ?30

                            Similar, not identical:
