also will the official W LAN usb internet adapter work in the uk do you think? thanks

Yes, it would, but good luck getting one of those either! US ones are currently going for over $150 on eBay, and I imagine any sites importing Japanese ones already has more preorders than they can possibly cover...

Surely Mad Catz are going to release a cable? It doesn't HAVE to be an official Nintendo one. It's not like it's going to be any better quality.

Yesasia have also stopped taking orders now - I think Play-Asia and Gameplay are the only places still offering any glimmer of hope of getting cables out for launch...
