It's the 2nd option down on the main menu.

And yeah, sucks that people are cheating on the times now, makes the whole upload thing rather pointless.

The only reason I'm addicted to this is because I want a better ranking and now this has happened! Why do people ruin everything!?

Is it actually free, or is the game still funded by microtransactions?

I'm hardly impressed by the visuals since it's basically a port of a PS2 game, but someone did post some interesting comparison shots between GTHD's cars and real cars.

          clicky here

Free, but it's 1 track and a handful of cars, time trial.

Does this support the ps2 force feedback wheels. There's a report going around that the ps3 can't do force feedback which sounds highly dubious.

There is support for the logitech wheels in the options so I would have thought so, I haven't yet tried my DFP with it yet though.

Sony Computer Entertainment America confirmed that there would be no supported force feedback technology with its PlayStation 3. They told 1UP the following:

All PS3 games are programmed for the SIXAXIS which doesn't have force feedback, therefore the force feedback in the wheels won't be recognized.

No word this time on whether there will be a racing wheel that supports "leaning technology" where the SIXAXIS motion-control functionality can be integrated into a wheel. We're joking, but it's through tears.
                    Don't shoot the messenger

Sounds to me more like they've spoken to some spazmod in the marketing dept who doesn't know what he's talking about but tbh nothing would surprise me.

Well I've tried it and it works differently for different games, so I don't think it's just a case of "Games being programmed for the SIXAXIS".

GTHD recognises the controller as having 2.5 turns lock to lock when it boots, but there is no force-feedback at all, and makes the game pretty unplayable with the wheel tbh, as it feels like your driving on sheet ice.

GT3 A Spec sets it to 270 degree mode, and works with the pedals, and applies about the same resistance, pretty much full, but no actually force feedback.

F1 puts it into 270 degree mode, but accelerate/brake is mapped to the buttons, the wheel does apply some resistance, but no force feedback.

RR7 also puts it into 270 degree mode, and works with the pedals, and applies even more resistance, pretty much full, but no actually force feedback.

So, it looks like it's a case of the PS3 thinks the wheel is a pad more than anything else, but I don't see why there couldn't be forcefeedback if games recognised the wheel properly.

To get back on track with the actual thread ( first play GTHD ) - no this doesn't support forcefeedback, and I don't really recomend using the DFP with the game.

How does that wheel connect to the PS3 - is it USB?

same way it connected to the PS2 (yes via USB)

Ah, cool. Never picked up a wheel for the PS2.

I wonder if that wheel will be the main one used for the PS3, or if they'll release a new one at some point. Might be able to find it cheap if it's going to be well supported through the lifespan of the PS3.

there is a new logitech wheel already out - not sure if its supported by the PS3 though (I assume so, with it being USB, but it has a gate style gear lever rather than the up/down gear lever with the driving pro)
