I was going to mention Double Switch (the Sega CD/Mega CD...oh, and SEGA Saturn as well) game (which I and three others worldwide quite liked), also did the same - but then, it sold all of perhaps 200 copies so it isn't relevant. In the opening you could clearly hear the 'Basmalah'.
I actually found it intriguing and, honestly, as a kid very aware of being a minority, quite cool. The same way many of us growing up felt 'included' when we we heard Qur'anic verse or references to it in the hiphop we listened to - and no one really minded, because even if we did find it inappropriate, we knew it wasn't deliberately offensive. Frankly, most would be bemused, and amused, above anything else.
