My 360 has started to freeze a lot Been playing Virtua Tennis 3 & TMNT with the sprog, & at random times the fans will just wind down - then you know a freeze is coming. Arse.

You have my sympathy.

My replacement should arrive tomorrow and then I'll have to decide what to do with my existing one which has become my first ever console that's died on me.

Always a joy to behold. That configuration of lights is synonymous with the pasttime of phoning up some ****bag reading from a tedious crib sheet in a foreign dialect.

My 360 works again anyway, had a long session on TDU this evening.

Yes. Mine gave me freezing and a checkerboard pattern. Next morning it played like a dream. After a few days, however, checkerboard on the dashboard, freezing on start-up, etc.

So this morning I think I'll take my HDD off and stuff to fit to the new core. Then my baby son wanders in and pushes the power button on the front of the 360 as he likes the lights.

And the thing switches on. I turn it off, put the HDD back on and it still works. Bugger.

What's the verdict, if it worth returning the new core pack, or if you've had the 3 red lights, is it just a matter of when its going to be game over?

I'm afraid it's just a matter on time.

After mine initially red lighted and died on me it sprang back to life for another week before it died total.

A couple of other people on here have had the same sort of thing.

I thought that might be the case. My replacement has just arrived from Amazon, so I'll get it swapped out.

Although my US launch model Premium has been giving me 3 red lights when i first turn it on from day 1. Turn off then on again and it's fine.

This probably happens every 10th time.

Mine has frozen a few times. Happened on Oblivion the 1st time so i just assumed it crashed trying to load all the background. But now its doing it more. The last time was on a co-op play of Rainbow six. Im actually quite relieved that im not the only one. Does this meen i have to take it back though or should i just sit it out?

That's terrible!!!
I would have got it replaced long ago under the warranty.

Red lights again after it worked for a day or so, so its definitely a goner. I might try getting it repaired anyway and see what happens, could just sell it on if they do replace it.
