    I'm almost 100% certain that your entire Reward Card history is held on record. Is there anyway to check on the Game.co.uk website?

      Mine has finally come back from being repaired after drive failure and RROD.

      Is it really quieter or is it just me....it no longer sounds like a jumbo taking off that's for sure!!!

        My details are online but it doesn't show any purchase history.

        How long does it take to get it repaired these days?

          I learnt on here from dannywhac that a bad contact between the CPU and heatsink can cause the fans to blow like mad, and if there wasn't a good join, then your console would have gone wrong.

            My Elite makes a grinding sound from time to time. Like the disc be being chewed but when I check the disc its fine.

            Anyone had this issue?

              I think mine does that every so often, makes a weird series of clicking noises then returns to normal.

                Getting E68 error messages now, did a bit of self diagnosis, and it's hard drive related.

                Checked on the net for confirmation and sure enough thats the problem.

                Any tips for this or is it replacement only?

                  Have you tried the HD in another machine? Reason I ask is because the E68 is a power related error - ie something trying to pull too much juice from the PSU and starving the 360. Basically its usually the HD at fault (the 'prom on the boards prolly gone), but it can equally be the PSU being glitchy, or connectors inside the 360.

                  Test the PSU and HD on another machine, and try a different PSU and HD on your machine.

                    If you return the 360 to MS due to 3 red lights, do they require the HDD?

                    I only ask because I finally found my receipt for Game but they won't swap it for a working one without the hdd, even though I explained it wasn't the hdd at fault...

                      Nope, if you return a 360 you just send the console itself, no HDD.

                        I exchanged mine at GAME when I got the RROD on my launch machine and they didn't require anything other than the console itself.

                          Bah, fecking muppets. They said it was company policy and wouldn't budge.

                          Since I can't face doing the first 15 hours of GTA again, I guess I just have to use the ****ty microsoft service instead.

                                Yeah they format Hard Drives if they get their dirty mits on them. Should receive the lable today to send mine off tomorrow, then got the long wait for return...

                                My Wii Fit should arrive today though so all is not lost
