Dear lord, Elkatas. Not only did you completely misunderstand Ben's post, you then say you don't want system wars after calling people unhappy with the Wii line-up 'retards'.

    Everyone else has moved on.

Now, where were we on Shenmue 3?

I expect more of the same this year, a lot of updates on existing games we know and love (or hate in some cases). There were a bunch of rumours of a hardware revision of the PSP which might be interesting if true and I hope the Wii has some games on show that come outside 2007, as 2008 currently has two good games I expect coming out for it (that im interested in) - Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

What I wish (long shot) -
Microsoft do some owning up to hardware faults, new hardware revision with fixes now in production.
Nintendo show the Wiiware, new franchise and a proper full 3D RPG pokemon.
Sony announce PS3 price drop and ZOE3 is in dev (inc trailer).
        Shenmue 3 announced
Bioware and Blizzard give a better outline of when their products will come out (mass effect and starcraft 2 respecivly)

Hey - a guy can dream...

According to Gamepro, Sucker Punch is doing new Sly Raccoon game. This is definitely one of those titles that I really wait.

Is going to happen, no worries about that. Of course, Microsoft won't advertise it that way. "Woopedidoo, now our console doesn't break up!"

              I wanna see more of:
              Resident Evil 5
              Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
              Smash Bros Brawl

I hope I can resist the urge to watch too much of the Metroid Prime 3 footage that will undoubtedly be available - biggest game for me since Echoes.

My biggest wish (apart from Shenmue 3) would be for the unveiling of another 2D Mario game on the DS, this time more in the style of Mario World. My head would probably explode if that actually happened.

Considering that during last ten months I have been called retard, idiot, blind fool and extremist because I didn't see HD-TV as second coming of the christ or got superexcited about X360's lineup, this is more than fair.

A new Wipeout would probably convince me to part with ?400 for a PS3. Not heard anything yet though.

It is coming. According to finnish Pelaajalehti, we will heard more about it in august / september (probably during TGS). Considering that Pelaaja is extremely reliable when it comes down to Playstation stuff, this is probably true.

                      ....

A new full-on WO would be lovely. Given that WO HD is coming to PS3 and is likely to just be a PSP update, I doubt we'll see one though. Would be great.

Actually I could do with a few good DS announcements. That seems to have gone a little quiet recently.

I'm slightly not looking forward to the unrevealing Killzone 2. At the moment, in terms of monkey **** fling fests between fanboys, I think its pretty decent, fanboys are keeping to themselves mostly, but if Killzone 2 manages to get anywhere the graphics shown in 05, it'll just be flaming and strategic trolling from fanboys (and specifically another Halo vs Killzone war again).

The thing is, I think it'll actually be pretty close. Mostly because of Sony's confidence move by placing the Killzone conference right after the MS one. So I'm expecting the graphical texture quaility and modeling to be of high quaility. Physics and particle effects to be equally impressive. Animation will be pretty presentable and it'll no doubt have some procedual stuff in it, but it won't touch the quaility of the original trailer. Although it'll be constrained to the extent that Gears is. Levels will be on a smaller scale with alot of 'connectors' (corridors, rooms, small buildings etc) to allow the game to load up the next area, the amount of enemies although decent will not be huge.

Gameplay wise it'll be Killzone, alot more beefed up and flashier due to the graphical presentation, but apart from the gameplay fixes whave been noted from the Original I don't really expect any big innovations.

Graphically it will be really close to trailer or even pass it, but Killzone 2 trailer was so awesome thanks to fluid animation and constant action. Those two are really hard to execute in reality. Animation especially is bitch, because even these days motion capture isn't going to solve your problems.

I don't think it'll pass it, but I do agree with your comment about the animation and constant action, too detailed and individual. Anyway I forgot to mention that so I'll edit it in my original post.

Wasn't the gameplay for Killzone 1 considered merely average? I don't know and haven't played it but I thought that's what people thought at the time. No matter how pretty it looks, if that doesn't change, I wouldn't have thought there'd be much excitement over it.

Sure. But this isn't really same Guerilla as before. They have borrowed some heavy talent from SCEE's GB studios, and hired over 80 new members for their team.
