    [360] MotoGP 07 Demo

    EDIT by DH:
It's 901mb and features one MotoGP track and one Extreme one, single player and multiplayer over Live

It's brill! Graphics are a lot better than '06, they seem a lot more shiny and crisp, plus it's 60FPS, it looks better than Forza 2. Early days yet but I've not seen any slowdown or screen tear.

If I get enough games tonight I'll do a first play tomorrow.

    Any other impressions?

I think I'll have to check this out.... I was really disappointed with '06 (who wasnt). I really think its about time they allowed full chat while racing as well and not just the 3 closest players. Or at the very least open it out to closest 6-8.

It's basically Moto GP 06 running at 60 frames with no tearing. For some people, that will be enough.

Managed 10 minutes on the demo before work, visually looks great, no tearing over VGA for me replays looked very smart also.
Handling wise seems exactly as last year.

Really wish you could use the trigger buttons for accelerate and brake, using A & B seems so 90's nowadays. Roll on release next Friday.

PS are the leaderboards working in the demo ?, couldn't seem to connect to them properly earlier.

Can you still use the analogue sticks to accelerate and break?

              Jim yes you can.

Analog Dog - it's the one and only Laguna Seca, Extreme track is one of the ones from last years game, can't remember the name.

Sorry I didn't get chance to post much of a first impression on it, as it finished downloading so late and I originally posted it on the Moto GP 07 news thread. The frame rate and screen tear was a major issue in the last one, so now it's cleaned up it will justify it enough for some people. As it's a demo it's hard to discuss the huge differences yet because it's limited to what it gives you.

If you go into the options and controls, you can change the controls mate. I've got left trigger for both breaks, right trigger for acceleration, A and B for gears and X for rear break.

You can post times on the leaderboard, but maybe there were some issues? I think they are using this demo as an online beta.

Yep Debug, went up last night.

Thanks MarioMark - played with options earlier and couldn't seem to configure triggers for anything but braking will look again tonight.

                      .
You don't use the right stick to accel/brake ? That's half the fun.

                      Multiplayer over live ?

Yup, multiplayer over live. In a bizarre twist, I hate the official track (Laguna) and love the extreme track (autobahn). I wanted Mugello again!

I'm surprised they included live this time - I know a lot of people who STILL play the demo - If you fire up the 06 demo they're still on there having insanely tight races round that track.

Cannae wait to try this out.

Right who fancies getting a 16 player session going on this tonight then ? I can't wait to give it a whirl.

The bikes still sound rubbish and the chain still hasn't been animated. No purchase for me.
