Fantastic game, but you will forever hate Striders and Hunters after that infuriating last level. Completely useless friendly AI coupled with Valve being unable to resist the urge to introduce ANOTHER use for the Gravity Gun. Seriously, couldn't they just give me a Magnusson Device cannon ffs. I loved every minute of Ep2 except those spent fighting the poxy Striders.

Last year when I was playing Final Fantasy 7 for the first time, there was a section I was forced to play where a small army was attacking a mountain with a big bird on top.
Um. So, it was probably a mini-game or something, but it just looked and played like terrible things. Maybe it was impressive 10 years ago, but I can't imagine so.

I agree about the original Halo, pretty much the king of games that go down hill fast.
I tend to find I'm actualy disapointed alot by the ends of most games really, Xen has already been pointed out, but the last Half hour of HL2 isnt up to much either in my opinion.
Infact any bit in nearly every game where you lose all your weapons is a low point in the said game.
Oh yeah another stand out rubbish moment... The metal gear solid games... anytime you are made to actualy play them in between watching the fantastic cut scenes. Mainly becuase they control like crap and the game bits always seem like an after thought.Last edited by rmoxon; 09-11-2007, 18:52.

Far from a fantastic game, but the dragon in True Crime LA took the piss. A semi-believable cop game with martial arts, driving and arrests turned farcical for one level (then you exit the sewer, arresting crim's again completely non-plussed by the demon!)
Honourary mention goes to the superbastardhellaNazi's in MOH:Airbourne...i was enjoying it as an authentic WW2 blaster until that point...

The stealth levels in Fahrenheit were unnecessary and incongrous.
