What has everyone been playing this week?

The titans are the least interesting part of the game for me (SotC did them SO much better). Fair enough if you don't like the game of course, that's up to you - I'm a big fan of this style of combat (Uncharted isn't the best comparison, God of War is much better) though so I loved it!

The middle 'third' (it's more than a third in terms of content, but thematically it's a third) is comfortably the best in the game if you can get to it.

And I'd suggest starting on Knight for some early game punishment.

Yeah as soon as I put Uncharted 2 I knew that was wrong...I guess I meant it was the last big story driven game I played.
I never actually played the God of War games so this is my first real foray into this style of game.

I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt though & I'll try to get past the Golem & then see how I get on.

Bayonetta was another one I didn't actually finish...bought the inferior PS3 version & just never got that into it.
Loved the style & look though.
I would like to go back to it at some point though, probably when I can get the proper 360 version that's playable on a Jpn machine.

Erm to be honest I never got through MGS4 either...I truely have the attention span of a nat

Hehe, I know what you mean. I need to be grabbed pretty quickly by a game to have a chance to see it through, although my tolerance is actually increasing with age it seems.

I'll play MGS4 one day, but I need to play MGS3 first. Only completed the first two games over the past 18 months or so.

The PAL 360 version is region free mate of Bayonetta. And I currently own the PS3 version and can say that - for whatever reason - it just doesn't feel the same.

MGS4 is just fantastic though, so so much fun what with all the weapons available - but I'm a pretty big MGS fan.

I've read about minecraft many times and still don't get wtf its about. Yes MGS4 is rad, lots of fun to be had in multiple playthroughs.

I've been playing GT5 and quite enjoying it.. I think.

Bought Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands on Amazon not too long ago. Not really digging it. Ultra linear and so far very simple in the acrobatics. Every time you enter a new room, the camera sweeps over it telling where to go and how to get there. You're simply following basic orders. "Jump to this platform, swing on that pole, etc..."

Stick with it, the platforming becomes fiendish once you unlock the water freeze skill.

It's odd about the poor PS3 version, can't understand what went wrong there.

I struggled with MGS4 as well...I just plain sucked at it, wanted to love it & I do think it looked awesome I just couldn't get to grips with it & the stealth was totally lost on me as I just went in guns blazing & died in seconds lol

I still remember playing the original Metal Gear on my mates NES loved it then but the new ones are just too difficult for me.

Had some more goes on SSFIV last night.
Is it me or have they changed it massively from SFIV??
The animated intros for arcade mode seem to have gone in favour of still ones.

Still enjoying it though & I might even venture online with it soon

SSFIV is vastly superior to SFIV IMO. I've put in at least 10x the time to SSFIV than I did with SFIV.

If you want a few games on 360 then my gamertag is the same as my username here. Guess I won't be jtagging that 360 I bought, no point really..

I just hadn't played SFIV for ages...lent it to my mate & he moved so haven't seen it since

Fired up Super & expected it to be exactly the same but with more characters & was a little surprised by the intro's for Arcade mode.

Well the only benefit would be free cave games and I like buying them so meh.

I hope my PAL copy of BlazBlue CS works on that 360 too, wouldn't mind being able to play people on both formats.

Sold my PS3 copy & fancy some goes with the new stick on the 360 now but really don't fancy importing if I don't have too.

Continuing my nightly grind to ZzZland on Event mode in Forza 3. Need to start intermingling the Endurance races so I'm not left with them all at the end.

Intermittently playing Mini Ninja, Heavy Rain and Sonic All Star Racing when I fancy playing something in the evening. All enjoyable for a few hours.
