What has everyone been playing this week?

I'll be playing WOW again as well. Levelling up my first character has always been my favourite part of the game so I'm very pleased they redid all the old content.

I'll probably level my shaman to 85 and then start a new character to do everything up to Burning Crusade. After that I will most likely quit again because the whole raiding thing isn't really my cup of tea, really killed the game for me last time. Not because the raids are badly done mind you, but everything around it (read: the players) just make it a drag.

Have been playing a lot of Pinball FX 2, Reach (legendary co-op), Trials HD and 999.

Same here. I'm actually having a lot of fun just levelling new characters in the new zones at the moment, it's like a whole new game. <3

Castlevania: LoS on PS3 for me
Finally dragged my arse away from Fifa '10 long enough to try this out.

Not very far in at all (upto the Golem in the ice) & really struggling to want to carry on playing it...really can't see what the fuss was about.

Looks gorgeous but a real chore to play so far.

Also finally got Super Street Fighter IV for the 360 because I got round to buying a TE stick to use with it & loving it all.
I still suck & can't get passed the 4th or 5th fighter without continuing but still keeps me going back for more as the series always has done oh & of Course DDP: DFK is getting some love as well at the moment.

Just Dull IMO
At the moment I'm struggling with the Golem (Smashing the jewels etc.) & it's just sapping my enjoyment.

Perhaps I've been away from these types of games for too (last game I played like this was Uncharted 2 on it's release) & I'm just not into the type of game again yet but at the moment I'm bored with it.
Hoping that once I defeat the Golem things will pick up & I'll start getting into but if I can't do it tonight then I'd expect to see it for sale soon

I grabbed Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY for a fiver on Steam last week, so I've been playing through it. It really fantastic, especially the characterisation.

Yep that's exactly my problem...I need it to grab me straight away.
That's why Uncharted was good, from the offset there's something to keep you plugging on but this is just dull at the moment.

It's not only games I'm like this with though...books are the same if there isn't something exciting in the first few pages then they get put down & never picked up again.

Short attention span I think & I need games for quick gratification so things like Fifa, Street Fighter & the CAVE shooters are the best for me.

The titans are the least interesting part of the game for me (SotC did them SO much better). Fair enough if you don't like the game of course, that's up to you - I'm a big fan of this style of combat (Uncharted isn't the best comparison, God of War is much better) though so I loved it!

The middle 'third' (it's more than a third in terms of content, but thematically it's a third) is comfortably the best in the game if you can get to it.

And I'd suggest starting on Knight for some early game punishment.

What do you think of Bayonetta's combat then Number45?

And I'm the same as Soundwave in regards to attention span so I guess that was my problem. Metal Gear Solid 4 and Bayonetta had no problems though, otherwise I just play arcade conversions.

As soon as I pick it up, I'll let you know. It's on my list, but frankly I hate the way the game looks so much it's not high on my list of priorities. :-p

Well, the combat makes the game - you'll understand what I mean if I claim God of War's combat system is boring.
