Mainly Wipeout HD. The perfectly pitched challenge suddenly gives way to insanely difficult races on stage 8 of campaign mode....but it's still epic. I popped a load of Warp CD's on my PS3 just for Wipeout. Zone is sooooo perfect for AFX and the like.
Also finally started Zelda: Oracle of Ages on't GBC. I fell in love with it initially, but having reached the second dungeon, it's suddenly become a little bit of a chore. I seem to die an awful lot...and the puzzles don't quite have the satisfyingly instant Zelda logic. I've done an awful lot of back-tracking, not knowing what I'm supposed to be doing. It's okay and all that, but having heard numerous folk say they're the best Zelda games, I'm a little disappointed. But hey, I'm willing to plough on in case this dungeon's a one-off.

Since I only bought my 360 a couple of months ago, I've been revelling in a lot of cheap stuff I've missed, amassed a 20+ collection of very decent games over the past six weeks or so.
Got Lost Planet SE, Just Cause, Dark Sector and Conan at 4 for £20 from Blockbuster this afty and they're all decent, even Conan, which looks much worse than PS2 God Of War/GOW2, yet is proper ace fun.
I've spent the last few hours chugging through Prey, which is a bit of a stunner visually, though the game is getting a bit samey. Nice, slimy vaginal/Goatse textures, lots of veins and bulbs, glistening bits, slithery tendrils that defecate foetus-style sacs, various glands, the game positively oozes, possibly the slimiest-looking game I've ever bore witness to, and even though I'm playing my 360 via RGB, astonishing graphics (well, for me at least, having never owned a 'gaming PC').
Well worth the fiver I paid for it at HMV, despite its shortcomings.Last edited by JazzFunk; 09-08-2009, 22:16.

This week its been all about:
The Secret of Monkey Island: Been a fun jaunt and I've still got the first 'Tales's installment to do. If they do a version of the sequel I'd give it a go but could take it or leave it, nice character but not funny.
Sam and Max Season 1: Currently about halfway through Episode 2, so far so good. It's managed 1 laugh so we're talking 100% increase here.
Street Fighter IV: Return of the master here, usually have a quick go though finding it impossible to get an online game
King of Fighters XII: Same deal as Street Fighter here, even with the online though starting to really like the fight system
Call of Duty World at War: Starting to spend more time with this again now that the final map pack has arrived. Two of the maps are quite good, one less so.

GTA: The Lost & The Damned
What I love about these games is the sheer flexibility of them, allowing for a level of creative play and application you don't normally get. After 2 failures of a mission (a shootout on low health) where I was getting getting nearly to the end only to be finished off by a last wave of goons in a van, I repeated it up until the point they were due, climbed into an ambulance, and waited. They come skidding round the corner and I ram them off the edge of the dock into the water. A wonderfully satisfying moment

Only really played Original mode so far and it's getting addictive. Loads of bright colours, great tunes, awesome boss battle, and trademark Gradius gameplay. That'll do ...

Started PAL PS2 Maximo and the Army of Zin last night - great stuff and Capcom even gave it a 60Hz option too. Loved the original and this is more of them same with a few user friendly tweaks to take the edge off the first game's uncompromising harshness. It's still no easy, kid friendly platformer though, even on Normal.
