I don't think it was because some other game got a 9 . But I remember that the Editor marked down the score to an 8 , and somewhere in the SOA review its even says the to the nines or something along those lines . Sadly the VGI boards are no more . But it is a true story , and genuine

I'm pretty sure it was because the 9 would detract from another 9. Its a true story and we repeatedly used to slam the reviewer over edge and its high brow snooty better than you attitude.
