Mine didn't come with one. I'd forgotten about that.

In other news, does this new issue have a wall planner as has been the case the last 3 years? If so, I may get it for that...
If reviewers are simply normal gamers - giving out opinions and scores on a whim, then that is sad, because it should be far more important than that.
EDGE, as a name, has a lot of clout. Obviously, the magazine's staff change over the years.
I only know of the editor of EDGE; the other writers are unknown to me.
EDGE isn't an enthusiastic down-to-earth publication, anyway. The writers try to be highbrow and clever. It just makes the mag boring.
Gaming is about entertainment/fun, not about intellectual musing. Sure, the writing can be good and intelligent, but.. there is no need to make things so cold.
I don't take EDGE seriously. It used to be pretty good back in the 90s. When they started giving games like RallisportChallenge2, 6/10, and hyping the big, but not so great games, and giving them 10/10, I realised the magazine was being run by very sad people.
There is room for new games mags - that are aimed at adults. Sadly, there doesn't appear to be any enthusiastic, exciting writers to make it happen.
EDGE needs to go back to basics.

The biggest outcry was the PSO score , it was a 10 out of 10 game and reviews was worded as such, but because it was SEGA it couldn't be given a 10 .
I don't care for EDGE or other website or gameshow reviews these days , I tend to go more on what I feel looks good, or feedback for the board. But I do like to see a game and the team that made it , get some recognition in the press.
And I can't help but feel that Mirror's EDGE was given a low score to get some outcry . There's a game that EDGE knows will do nothing for the masses or the casuals , but it's making a sir with the more serious gamer , and one that is trying something new and diff and EDGE sticks the boot in , to pee off a lot of people and get a outcry

While review scores dont effect anyones enjoyment of a game, they do effect some peoples descion to buy a game, so surley giving a game a ridiculous score just to look cool or whatever is some type of crime?
In fact they are actualy stopping some people from enjoying the game, at least they are if anyone is daft enough to listen to their reviews anymore, as they could put people off a good game.

I now bring out my trump card and say yet again Edge lost the faith and have ever since when they gave a 3 to Souky. Let the VGI backlash begin
Ive felt for years Edge give low marks to certain games and high marks to others just to cause people to talk about em as a marketing tool and ever since they lost all credibility from me. Old Edge wouldnt give any sequel a higher mark than the original unless it was revolutionary different times moved on when Halo3 hit.

I know that Mirror's Edge wouldn't even be on my radar if it wasn't for EDGE magazine.

Merely because of the review, I guess all the earlier praise offered by EDGE is null and void?

EDGE built up games like Fracture, The Force Unleashed but you'll not see me complain too much about the scores

I was just pointing out that Biggest games = More potientially irate fans when the scores don't match the hype.
ie mild controversy.
Personally I couldn't care less.... In fact, I'm sure those scores mentioned are well-justified. Those reviews are probably every bit as "accurate" as the glowing 10/10 hype media.
One thing that has really disappointed me, though, is the Mirror's Edge review.
Is it really more average than COD5? Really?

The Review was full of praise, they constantly used to refer to it in subsequent issues and it was in their Top 100 issue last year.
Some people are paranoid in their hatred of Edge sometimes.
