That is exactly what I thought, the gold just makes it look cheap and tacky.

Gamestation Replica Golden Lancer Update

I took some games into my local Gamestation today to trade them for a store credit ready for my Midnight Madness Gears 2 purchase and the guy started talking to me about the golden Lancer collectable.

He told me they received a memo to say the price had been reduced from ?129.99 to ?79.99 still including the Limited Collector's Edition version of the game. He then offered to show me it so I said why not and it's huge and if you get past the gold colour it's quite smart and detailed. It feels nice to hold and it's a shame our gun laws prevent the original colour to be sold here.

He then proceeded to tell me that the memo also says they can sell any left over Lancers for ?29.99 to anyone who purchases either edition of the game.

They had three in and one was already preordered so two were available but they don't have any LCEs. For ?29.99 I thought it would be rude not to being as my trades just covered the cost of the regular edition game and I've got the LCE on order with Zavvi anyway.

I phoned my Midnight Madness friend and for that price he also went and reserved one.

Yeah i rang up gamestation c/s today (only 2 people working there! lol) and was going to cancel as i was thinking £130 is a bit much, he then tells me about the drop, so i promptly kept it! according to him, the game is being sent via courier on tuesday, so should have it wednesday!! Heres hoping! lol.
