Interesting. I preordered and paid ?46.99 (I used a voucher). I shall have to email them because I don't think it's fair that they charged a higher price, just to drop the price before launch, having already charged me!

They should refund you i've bought things in store and noticed a couple days later that the price dropped, they have always refunded me the difference. Should be the same online.

I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they will do - I shall point out as others have said - I could just order another copy (at cheaper price with voucher) then return it when it arrives with my higher priced receipt - and thus be playing it now at the cheaper price. (make sense )

I'm sure I remember this happening once before but they automatically refunded me some cash -Either way, tomorrow they will hear from me! Poor show though to be fair, I shouldn't have to do this - you expect prices to changes weeks after you buy a game, but not the same week and before the game is even out!

Yesteryeargames - they posted mine today so it should be here tomorrow - I didn't choose express, but first class is usually next day for me (That said if it doesn't arrive I have Fallout 3 to keep me busy!)

Told the lady I spoke to that I'd pre ordered something and the price changed 'Is that Gears of War 2 Collectors Edition by any chance?' she says

She said that they had an email about it this morning and it's being worked on right now - The plan is apparrantly (little vague I know) is to issue a voucher code to use online, or a voucher card for use in store. Or have it put on as you reward card as points. Obviously it would be nice to have things a little specific but either way, money is coming back

However she also said it will take about 24-48 hours to sort, and they only started working on things today - but call back Saturday if I haven't heard anything.

Whilst in an ideal world I would like the ?7 back on my credit card, I don't really mind getting a voucher or whatever - I always use Game for my preorders so they will get the money back sooner or later from me anyway - and with COD5 on the way, I will just use whatever method they refund me in against that, so I'm happy

Hmm Ive ordered the Ltd Ed from Game too, its despatched but still hasnt turned up I was starting to wonder if they were lying that they had sent it off early so they could charge me more or somthing...

By the way what do Game use tosend games off with? will it just come with royal mail? or might it be parcel force?

can anyone test the pal one on a ntsc 360 or not yet, dont wont to buy the Pal version until im sure its region free.

I bought the first game two weeks ago. I can see the appeal but I don't think I've played a game in such short bursts before. I get fed up so quickly. Not sure if I like the controls. I die too often. Can't always see where I'm meant to be going either (I don't have an HD telly so that may be the problem).

I'm running the PAL version on an NTSC machine. It's been confirmed to be region free for a few weeks.
