Anyone looking to go down to Gamestation for the "Midnight Madness" launch of Gears 2 looking to get the code for the gold hammerburst, you might wanna call up your local first. Most of the stores have not recieved their codes yet which is extremely stupid. The incentive for picking it up at midnight is not really there now.

Should have read that yesterday! I've been assured they are getting the codes in and they'll keep me one. Apparently the codes they got sent were incorrect, one of the store guys tried one and it didn't work, so they've all gone back.

They're hoping they'll appear later today....

My store didn't have them last night and they got them this afternoon. I've not long been back from getting mine and they let me take my friend's too. On the phone they said I needed the receipt but then they didn't ask for it when I got there.

The ingame Lancer looks pretty good imo. The "full size" Gold Lancer looked tacky in store. Only £30, but it looked too **** to buy.

Regarding the gold hammerburst codes, pretty much all stores should have them now. I got mine today and it worked with no problems.

Might give it a go with some paints (will have to research it) reckon it could be a fun project, the gold is just hideous.

Having seen that gun firsthand, I was surprised how small it was, yet it looks huge with you holding it!

The actual model of the gun looks great to me. Shame it's gold. I agree with those recommending a paint job. I reckon that could look excellent.

its the same gun, but due to the UK gun laws, you cant buy the official coloured one here. Obviously this doesnt apply to the US. cheers for the link though, been looking for a pic, as im going to spray my one.
