I do think the best/cheapest way to get this on release day is going to be the supermarkets. With the postal strike you're going to be paying extra for courier if you want it at launch (unless your chosen retailer is being very nice and promoting your order to courier for free).

Me? I'm getting Dragon Age and waiting to see how this one does in the reviews first cause I'm not a fan of this style of MP.

I got my order with Tesco Direct and they have changed the status to At Warehouse - Dispatching soon.

Has this been like it for ages or has it changed for anyone else recently? hope they realise the postal strikes and pump it out soon.

GAME has now started processing my order.

Gamestation are doing a deal where you can get it for £4.99 if you trade in 2 games from a list. One of the games on the list is Overlord 2, which is currently a tenner on both ps3 and 360 at play. Buy two copies and you get MW2 for £24.99

Didn't see that but that was kind of the point I was getting at - they're probably processing stuff early / saying it's on its way as it prevents you from cancelling.

Gameplay (part of the same group) sat on my cancellation order for Forza 3 for a whole week before dispatching it and then telling me it was too late to cancel.

I guess it's become their way of stopping a sudden glut of cancellations just before release (which must be pretty annoying for the business).

Can't see why not. I doubt seriously there are terms that they must be different games.

I asked in my local Gamestation today, and was told that they're going to be selling at full RRP: ?54.99.

When I pre-ordered this on Saturday my local Gamestation couldn't give me a price for either the regular edition or Hardened Edition.

Being as RRP is usually ?49.99 and most places sell games at ?39.99 I was really hoping Gamestation would be doing this for ?44.99, especially after they were selling ODST for ?34.99 and not ?39.99. I've got store credit to use, so might as well get it from here.

The Super Elite is a GAME exclusive, been taken off the web site now and dont know if stores are still taking orders.
Sure most retail stores hold it's high RRP maybe discounting ?5 off regular edition at most, supermarkets though sure retail stores must be bricking it.

No party chat allowed.

You cannot play in party chat on online modes, someone has said TDM is the only game type that allows party chat, every other mode you have to exit party chat.
Makes sense really when you think of killcams and telling people when you are dead where the alive people are on the map.

Good. IMO party chat spoils a lot of online games, particularly elimination games where the 'dead' can ghost-cam around and advise on the exact whereabouts of the other team (e.g. Gears 2).

It also makes sense if the perk from MW that allows you to over-hear enemy comms is still there - you wouldn't be able to do that if the other team were in party chat...
