Cheers for the assistance guys. I have stuck in an order for some Seimitsu snap-ins (black rim, white button) and a grey mesh Sanwa balltop, and my mate is donating his spare LS-32-01 to the cause. Still haven't made my mind up on the art but it's going to be something fairly low-key, likely something monochrome tucked up in the corner. Pics when I make my mind up

How is the surface in terms of friction etc? Did you remove the old art or just stick it on top?

Yeah, I bought my Agetec plexi from Arthong in America. With art came to £40 - but meh.

I'm looking at this guy, prices are good and shipping from UK too!

I'd say the German guy is better than doomy.

I got my DC stick signed by Yoshinori Ono at the SSF4 press event thing a few weeks back. He's signed in the space below the VMU window with a CDR pen (which is basically a permanent marker anyway, as far as I'm aware) and now I'm wondering how to preserve it. The spot it's in means there'll be little to no friction from hands and fingers, but you never know. I was thinking about using a fixing spray or something like that. I suppose it's shot dead any dreams of putting an image on it now, but still. Any ideas?
You could mask off the surrounding areas and apply several coats of a clear lacquer spray- it'll make that little bit glossy but your signature will be preserved.

The surface doesn't really feel too different to the original as far as friction goes. It hadn't lifted after a fair but of use either.
I tore the old art off. To get it on there I just stuck it on as a full A4 sheet then used the metal plate as a guide for the scalpel around the edges/holes/etc.
I left the backing on the tape around the edges and just stuck the middle until it was all cut, finished and screwed back down. It ensured I covered the screws (the laminate is thick enough to not show any signs of screws under the art) and meant the tape extended to the very edge of the art and kept it all stuck down properly.

I've just bought that Mushimesama hori stick but after a couple of hours I've realised that my RSI is not going to make playing a viable option.
What do you reckon is a resonable price to sell it for or should I put it on ebay?

                      £15 - 20.

                      Unless it's modded.

Probably a bit more than that if you wait for every man and his dog to buy up all the available sticks when SSF4 arrives until they're out of stock everywhere. I suppose it's not exactly the SF4 launch this time around, but I wouldn't be surprised if it just follows the trend.

If it turns out it really is only worth 15-20 even after that, then you still won't have lost anything by waiting. Unless you're really strapped for cash atm.

Yeah, there may be some stick inflation for SSF4 - but I'm not so sure. The market has been penetrated pretty well by Mad Catz and Hori.

You may be right. I just saw 15-20 and cried a little inside. I suppose eBay prices will be a bit more but then I imagine their fees make up for the extra you'd get.

I reckon you'd easily score about ?80 for that bad boy & if my bank balance wasnt looking so fragile after paying for my Hot Toys figures this weekend I'd be all over that like a strong moss.

Well, it's basically an EX2 with a sticker on it. But to a crazed collector..

And I was speaking here basically. ?35 would be good for eBay I think - ?40 at a push.
