The more I see of this the more I just see an extreme Wii (using your entire body instead of just your hands) and as it is the Wii isn't for me, so I really can't see me buying Kinetic unless it's really cheap. The only thing I can see this being good for is party games when you have family and/or friends over. I wonder if it will affect Wii sales.

I don't see this having a big knock on Wii sales as it misses the point of the situation recently discussed in Wired about 'the technology of good enough'.

Wii owners that this product is targetting don't need anything 'better' for the most part, its like the big electronic companies trying to take on the $99 Flip video camera by coming out with specced up $300 models.

At xmas in Tesco the current Wii owner faced with purchasing an xbox & kinect & game or Just Dance 2 with 40 new songs hasn't got that hard a choice to make

That's a point, can Natal double-up as a camera? I mean, the ability to use the Eye Toy for motion sensing was always a secondary bonus.
