A good Mickey game could sell hugely at xmas.

Sadly the lack of any marketing push whatsoever at the moment is criminal. Nintendo: prove you care about third parties and give this a push. Take those annoying twins off the TV and show people playing this. It's about time you helped the third parties out.

The game is currently £21.99 at MyMemory which is a bit cheaper than the usual suspects.

Hmm not sure what to make of it now, the trailer on the Nintendo channel made it look fairly dark and was enough to intrigue me and the stuff you guys were saying at the start of the thread sounded awesome. I'm not a disney fan so the idea of a dark game where you could play a twisted Mickey gone mad sounded great.

But that video posted in the thread a few posts ago disappointed me lots, I appreciate the detail but not being a disney fan am not going to care about it.

Yeah, the initial expectation from some of the concept art was way WAY wrong. Shame.

Doesn't approach the concept art which is a shame but it still gets much much better than a lot of the videos show.

As I've said, the castle bit is probably the dullest section of the game.

That's the focus testing for you, they removed all the dark stuff because the groups didn't respond well to it so it's a much more up front Disney affair now.

They should have focus tested people that liked the original concept art.

Allow Ryan and Jeff to paint you a picture of this quirky, mouse-themed adventure game.

I know it's long been rumoured and I'd still only class it as that but it's something I've wanted to happen as I don't have a Wii to play it on. I'm still not convinced even though it was originally supposed to launch on both the PS3 and 360 but I live in hope.

Sony did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.

"Epic Mickey" will be compatible with the PlayStation Move, Sony's answer to the Nintendo Wii. Players will be able to buy the physical Blu-ray disc or download it from the PlayStation store, the site said.

Although the original release of "Epic Mickey" was exclusive to the Wii, PSN said that Sony has had its own version in "an independent development since 2008, with an engine optimized to the capabilities of PlayStation 3, which will allow 720p native resolution and a rate of 60 frames per second sustainable."

The game follows Mickey into a world called Wasteland, populated by Disney's forgotten characters. It resurrects characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a precursor to the iconic mouse that hasn't been seen since 1928. In the game, there's a sibling rivalry between the two because while Oswald was thrown to the wayside, Mickey gained international fame.

"Epic Mickey" lets players use paint and paint thinner to change the dark world and help the mouse become a hero.

Although no details on price were given, PSN said that there would be a collectors edition of the PS3 game that will include the movies "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" on Blu-ray.

It's a flawed game but it's still had a lot of love put into it. Would like to see it successful on PSN

Hopefully it'll happen on the 360 although I'm not really convinced by the site that who is supposed to have announced it. I just can't imagine that Sony would have been developing their own version, particularly not when it's apparently been in development since 2008.

It's not impossible but I'm just not convinced.

I don't see it as likely either. If anyone would have been working on a PS3 version it would have been the original dev team who'd already been working on it and I'm sure there'd have been rethinks anyway once the game struggled at retail on the most suited format. It'd be nice but I'm not seeing it.

It's 25 in Hmv. I haven't played it yet but being a mickey fan I'm sure it's well worth it at that price.
