Best new character of this decade...

Captain Olimar. Pikmin was one of the freshest and most endearing games of the decade, and I think it's one that will stand the test of time. The sequel was even better, and with a Wii version on the way there's plenty more to come.

Possibly the beginning of the end for new pokemon inventions, but he is still AWESOME.
