Really? They come in blue packaging that say Vita on them and was informed last week, that only enough to build up the bundles (4GB card, Vita and Sim) will be shipped to stores with explicit instructions they were not to be sold. They only arrived yesterday (Monday).

If you mean the free sims on the website, those are normal sims (packaging on the front usually has CGI Bee's) and the tariff on them are for handsets.

I'll check the tariffs on the Vita sims in the morning and post back here, as I think they have a unique tariff and the first top-up will generate a code for you to redeem in the Vita Store.

I checked the tariff that the Vita sims are programmed with and it's the standard USB modem/iPad/tablet payg occasional broadband package which is ?5 for 250MB valid for a maximum of 30 days. So it's just in different packaging. I'll find out what makes it register so they send the code to download Wipeout, maybe it's linked to the imei?

Going to try the demos tomorrow to see what other games I want to get (Wipeout or Modnation, etc.) so looking forward to it.

Hmm. What are the major benefits of using a US account? What made you do it?
I was thinking it'd be cheaper and I'd be able to get some games a lot sooner as well as having good PS1 versions of games.

in honesty mate, it was the PS1 games back in the day. I was under the impression UK PS1 games were still 50hz, I didnt want that and now all my content is on the US store.

Games are cheaper though, for example: Fifa Vita RRP: 39.99 - US Conversion ?25.30...

I must admit, the profile issue is the one thing that still really bugs me about the Vita. I'll get over it eventually I'm sure but I have so many US and UK PSN games, I really wish I could just play them one one system easily.

My Ridge Racer has arrived and as well as the Gold Pass it has an ?8 off voucher for the PSN version of Katamari. The RR redeem site isnt up though typically.

According to Hotdeals there is an error on the PS store whereby you buy the Uncharted map pack for Vita and it gives you the full game instead. 97p but will believe it when I see it as my PS3 is updating at the moment
Edit: Appears to have been spotted by Sony and pulled. It was 79p too, not 97p!

How much will the digital versions be? Might be better to get Ridge, then the digi version of Katamari if anything. Shame the graphics in the latter are rubbish though.

Though then you have to factor in how much space the games would take up, might be better to DL Ridge after getting Katamari from that point of view.

There was never going to be any discount on retail. Sony said they would price their games 10-20% cheaper than RRP & they have. The fact that retailers have priced cheaper still, is down to them & quite frankly seeing as console manufacturers, not just Sony, absolutely rely on retailers to shift units & raise awareness there isn't a single console manufacturer at the moment who is in a position to go up against retailers (bricks'n'mortar or online) & price their digital content cheaper. It won't happen for years imo. As for third party content, EA set the price for Fifa, not Sony.

I thought the sony code would be instant so I stuck it on escape plan. Still Waiting, I think i'm just gonna buy it. People have paid way more to import etc than a fiver to have a game they really want early. Thanks sony :/

Vita arrived today. It's a brilliant piece of hardware. The quality of the screen blew me away...and then I put Rayman in. It looks incredible. I was grinning from ear to ear at the visuals. I've also had a play on Motorstorm. Congrats to Rushy for putting out a superb game.

Off into town tomorrow to pick up some more games.

I dont about the rest of you but there is nothing quite like getting a brand new console, its quite a rare event, the older i get the more i seem to appreciate it, hardware revisions dont count Well pleased with Shopto getting it to me before launch day, most impressed. Just one question, on my PS3 store wallet/account i still have around ?30 that i have not used, can i use this money on the Vita?
