Gaming in 2010?

Looking forward to: The Last Guardian, GT5, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2, Diablo 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, The Another World (by Level 5) and hopefully we'll hear of the next installment in the Shin Megami Tensei series or better, a game released.

I hate to say it but I'm becoming more disenchanted with modern games as time goes on, theres hardly anything in this thread mentioned that I'd go 'wow - I can't wait' over.

Same here. Some nice stuff but nothing I get too excited over. Huge Final Fantasy fan but 13 just looks OK. Also may get Lost Planet 2 as i liked the demo a lot.

Only thing I will want is Persona 5.

Q1 alone should be pretty good for myself, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, the long awaited release of Blazblue (which I've wanted to play even more than SFIV. 2D fighting love!), FFXIII, and if Cave plan on releasing Espgaluda II without region locking, then that too will be a day one purchase.

Alan Wake, Dead Rising 2 and Sin & Punishment 2 will also end up on the backlist. Not too sure about Crackdown 2 yet, I'll probably wait for some in-depth preview before deciding on that.

Only thing I will want is Persona 5.

As usual I am mostly looking forward to the things we don't know anything about yet. This year had a lot of nice surprises, I'm sure next year will too.

ESPGaluda II, Blazblue: Continuum Shift, Super Street Fighter IV, Ace Attorney Investigations, Senko no Ronde DUO, Mario Galaxy 2, Final Fantasy XIII, No More Heroes 2... think that's me covered for things I have prepared for. I suspect this might also be the year I finally stump up for a PS3, in which case I'll be taking a whole bunch of exclusives for a spin.

Im fairly looking forward to Dead Rising 2 & Mass Effect 2 as i enjoyed the first ones. Im also a huge Final Fantasy fan but im still not convinced by FF13 but im fairly looking forward to it and will buy when it comes out.

There are a few others im keeping an eye on but the only game im really anticipating is Gran Turismo 5 and will probably sell my 360 and get a PS3 for it.

I'm looking forward to the announcement of Excitebike360 or Wii or something. Could really do with an update of that, preferably without daft controls. Have their been any good motoX games this gen?

I think most of the stuff I'm looking forward to in 2010 will be XBLA stuff - many of the things mentioned in this thread have just become too sprawling for my tastes due to the technology allowing it.

I'm through with thinking too far ahead for games. I'm still playing this (And last years) games and there are still more 2009 games that I want to pick up.

I imagine there will be very few 'day one' purchases for me this year. I'm happy waiting a while and paying considerably less for the privilege!

I've been stung to much this year with the price drops so will be hanging back on some purchases to see if they drop.

But the start of 2010 for me is roughly looking like:

That takes up to around the end of May or something like that. Quite possibly the most amazing opening to a year in gaming since... well, since ever!
