I agree with you on that. What's wih giving characters only 2-3 moves and one super move? KOF '98 and '02 were so loved because you had characters with loads of moves and options ('98 did really well in making every character their best version to date). Looks like they're going back down that route with supers and max supers like they had in the old games. Hopefully they can recapture the magic of former days.

I reckon KoF XII was just an unfinished project, but I think they'll come through this time. I think 2002, 2003, XI were all pretty good and moving the series forward.

This one should continue in that vein...

Official site is up. The Characters page shows standing character animations. You can see Mai spilling about in her kit.

The System highlight Hyper Drive mode and EX system. EX seems the same as SF's EX except for slightly different animation or delay and speech.

She'll hurt herself if she keeps doing that... (And I thought her standing anim was silly before...)

Nowt wrong with the animation. It's her fault for wearing something skimpy without a bra

They look weighty whereas Team Ninja go for the floaty unconvincing look.

Wow, this is generating quite an excitement at the moment, I trust this is an arcade only release at present though? If they are thinking about a home release, they need to seriously pull their socks up over the last release.

Like the tracks that play in the background on the cahracter select screens. Character themes are always good in fighting games and hopefully everything's taken a step up in tbis installment. Wonder if they'll do a dream match after this one with even more characters then now? Then naysayers can shut their mouths other a lacking roster.

It'll get PS3/360 ports, no question.

I reckon they could be doing the console ports at the same time. KOFXII hit the arcades in April last year with the console versions dropping in the July.

Hopefully it isn't the spastic 2k2 version of Takuma.
                            Kept you waiting, huh?

Nah, he looks well aggresive this time, like he's gonna burst a vein without even touching you.

                              Looks interesting all the same.

All I can say is I'm happy SNK are bringing this game out. My want to go on holiday to Japan this Autumn has just come back with a vengance!
