Interesting what they've done with the sprites. Rather than draw high res versions, they've zoomed out the fighting area so the standard def sprites from XII appear as 1:1 pixel ratio.

The France stage redesign looks beautiful now and apparently characters from other KOF games are hidden in there and in some of the other stages too.

Looks like you need to have both bars maxed out to do those particular combos.

Also some technical reference vids demoing the different effects of EX specials and supers, drive canceling specials to create new combos and canceling into Neomax etc.

Yeah it's unfortunate that XII may have given them a bad reputation when in fact that was an unusually bare bones KOF game. This looks like a huge improvement in every way. Looking forward to hearing what additions will be in the console version.
