Is the Resident Evil: Mercinaries game only the Mercinaries mode from previous games? I've not been keeping up.

There's about 8 or 9 games I want in that list, which is more than enough to justify a purchase.

There are lots of signs indicating that the Namco games are simply iphone ports, if I was Nintendo, I'd refuse them a licence unless they drastically improve things. PSP and Wii ports they'll get away with, iphone ports will cause a massive PR hit.

Struggling a bit to get excited for those games. I'd guess Layton and Zelda.

Layton, Pilot Wings and Steel Diver are the only 'original' titles and only Steel Diver promises something significantly new (and even then, the game was originally a tech demo for the DS)

Seems like an oddly strong line-up for launch. It's blatantly launch window and we'll see them by next Christmas.

I'm going for a black unit with Zelda, Ridge Racer and SF4.

I've never actually played OOT properly (I'm guessing the numerous guides out there will keep the Japanese text from hindering me). MGS3 and Biohazard are what I'm really after though.

I'd wait for an English version of OoT, there's some great dialogue in there towards the end of the game.

Also, I had a dream last night that I got my hands on one of these babies... I switched it on and found out that it wasn't running in 3D no matter how much I buggered around with the slider. The dream felt like it lasted a good few minutes instead of me waking just as I get to the exciting part, which is what usually happens.

A couple of sites have reported that Epic have said the 3DS is too underpowered to run the Unreal Engine like iPhone does and so they won't be supporting it. It's no real loss which is what the news sites seem to keep missing as the devices are remotely in competition with each other and not supporting 3DS is Epic's loss if anyones.

Don't Epic have an almost fanboy-like hate for nintendo though? They're not a developer I would picture developing for handhelds anyway.
