Hmm, this was the email I got back from amazon when I attempted to contact them.

Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk with your enquiry concerning the Buy a Nintendo 3DS, add a Selected Game for £20 promotion.

I understand that you placed this pre-order before this promotion was available. In order to take advantage of this promotion, I would not be able to add the selected game to your order as the promotion would need to be applied on the website.

However I can see that the price of the "Nintendo 3DS Handheld Console (Black)" is still the same that is on the promotional page as your order. You can cancel your order made in January 2011 and place a new order for the promotional items instead.

You can cancel any items yourself when you visit Your Account ("Cancel items or orders"). As long as the item has not entered the dispatch process, you will be able to cancel it.

Once an item or an order is cancelled, you'll receive an e-mail to confirm the cancellation. Cancelled orders no longer appear in your order history.

I had both the 3DS and Ridge Racer on pre-order with Amazon on 2 seperate orders. 3DS was ordered in January but only ordered Ridge at the weekend. Just emailed Amazon support hoping I can get the reduced price.

I was out, then I was in, then I was back out after the confirmed release line up. I played on one last Friday in Game and i'm back in.

Traded in some games to get ?61 on a hmv card. They were offering ?35 for marvel vs Capcom 3, it only cost me ?32 so it seemed rude not to It's my birthday in two weeks so the money received that will hopefully get me one.


I had a go on the aqua blue one and the colour is glorious, think its going to be the one i go for.

Only annoying thing is that I will have to go via HMV and they don't seem to have any decent deals on.

I am in same boat with my Gamestation pre order. I am sure they and HMV will have some bundle offer when you go to pick up the machine though.

ive got ?150 on an HMV card so gone with them. Especially as they are giving ?80 if you trade in a dsi for a 3ds.

I remember seeing a sign saying they were doing the 3ds at ?229 and 3ds with pilotwings at ?249 (?20 extra), but since they've dropped the price to ?219 I hope they will still have the cheap pilotwings offer on.

Just seen a vid of SSFIV3D for the first time and it looks bloody brilliant.
A little stiff maybe, but the graphics are great for a handheld.

My ultimate conversion that would make me get a 3DS on launch day would be Doom3, since that's my all time fav FPS.

I'm cancelling my Amazon pre-order. I'm got one pre-ordered at work and now the price has gone down to ?219.99 after discount that'll be ?197 less my ?10 deposit makes it ?187 which is only ?2.50 more than my Amazon order.

Plus I can choose which colour I prefer (wanted Blue but now starting to wonder about the black one...) and I can trade in some more stuff to get the price down even more.

So, I'm back in, but chances are tomorrow I'll be out again!

I am off to Vietnam in April and on the way back have a reasonably lengthy stay at Singapore Airport. I was thinking about picking up a 3DS there. Am I right in thinking this will be a normal JPN unit in a different box?

Pilotwings really is my main reason I am keeping my 3DS pre-order. I'm still somewhat concerned about how quiet coverage of it has been.

We get that the 3DS is just as, if not more visually capable than the Wii but I just wish Nintendo had gone with a completely new location for pilotwings - half of the appeal behind the N64 version for me at least was being able to find all these hidden nooks and **** - on a familiar setting, there won't be that much that remains hidden for long!

I've played Wii sports resort quite frequently, being only one of a small handful of games which actually bothered to use motion plus.

I just think it's going to be wasted on me Maybe they should have cut it back a bit and released it as tech in-the-box software like the original Wii sports was.
