The high street discounting on this is going to be a bloodbath. Tesco have already fired the first shot.

      For Glazza....

Ok just had a quick go of PES before baby started crying due to neglect

The 3D effect is really impressive. It defaults to the behind-the-player view, which I usually dislike, however I carried on playing with a smile. The sense of depth adds greatly.
Use the radar in the same sense as looking up in real footy.

In terms of looks and features, the game looks and plays like PS2 version, minus L2/R2 buttons.

In typical launch deadline style though, online play and BAL have been cut from the game. One new addition is a Street Pass function in ML. Not sure how that works as of yet.

So, it's same old good pes, but in 3 deez!

Splinter Cell arrived today alone, useless game alert but at least I've read the instructions and input the club nintendo code first time I've been on there for years, I had 3000+ expired points what a rip off. Though I'm surprised I remembered my login at all!

The 3DS shipped on the same day but I got the email a bit later, it could be sitting in a depot somewhere or could come by courier. Do HMV use couriers for stuff that size?

I'm going out TWICE tomorrow, they better see the note I leave in the window.

EDIT: Oh a tracking number has appeared in my email, I've never heard of Home Delivery Network. Entering it got me the reply "No events have been recorded for this UPI yet. Please try again later." fine I'll try every 30mins!
HDN are the worst courier in the country. Possible outcomes of your delivery (based on personal experience) are as follows:

        1. You are home when they deliver but instead of delivering the post a note saying you weren't home
        2. You are out and they leave a note (ignoring any note you may have left them)
        3. They put the parcel in your wheelie bin (no really)
        4. You actually receive the item.

        Good luck!

Completely agree with FSW. Also, I recently ordered the Killzone 3: Helghast Edition from HMV, to be delivered by HDN - who had my address down as number 2 - when I live at 64.. Smart.

I waited in all day and obviously it didn't turn up by some miracle.

            5. They deliver it to the house next door and leave a note and are adamant it was delivered there even though the house has been empty for over a year and the parcel is never heard from again.

The can't be the worst delivery company since Amazon don't use them. Last year Amazon delivered my Wii to the wrong address and then reported a different wrong address to the office. I was offered FREE NEXT DAY SHIPPING as compensation so I had to stay in all day... which never arrived, I was then told I would never have been offered free next day shipping and my delivery date was 3 days from then.

After my seperate complaining of both **** ups I was awarded 2 £5 vouchers. woo.

HDN will have to do something bloody spectacular to beat that.

Its probabaly been said in this thread already but I cant find it, when does the 3DSware shop open over here? Also is the Virtual console part of it opening at the same time?

Anyway, got mine today, been playing Ghost Recon, great game, the 3d is taking some getting use too though, everytime i move the 3ds out of alignment with my head multiple versions of everything appear and it strains my eyes really badly.

I believe it's end of May but don't quote me.

Regarding couriers, I ordered a JXD 3000 handheld from Dealextreme a few weeks back. My nephew found it on my front step at 3pm saturday afternoon last week. No idea which courier left it there or what time they came. It had been pissing down all day and the package was soaked. The console lastedm30 mins before the screen went. DX said I can pay to send it back for a replacement or have $25 dollars store credit.

Yeah I want the virtual console - one of the leaflets has a picture of Super Mario Land, hope they do all games from GB to GBA.

Hadn't seen the 3DS in the flesh before but really love it - smaller than I expected and the grey on the black one doesn't look out of place (from photos it did). The charging dock is great, particularly as the console just sits in it and doesnt require something actually plugging in to it. The grey analogue nub thing is really good on ridge and pilot wings too.

Didn't think Ridge Racer looked as good as I hoped but Pilot Wings is beautiful and the 3D works really well. Can see me completing it very quickly, it's nice and relaxing too. The AR thing is fantastic, at first I was like how the hell do I shoot that thing round the side and then I realised, I just move the 3DS around to face it!

                      So yes. Happy

Since virtual console games obviously won't be 3D will it make a difference to battery life as to whether the 3D slider is up or down? It affects brightness doesn't it?

Brilliant news that H it realy is and its good to know the 3D factor actually works and its not just a gimmick and i think we all knew somethings would be cut and the usuall license issuses would still be there but thanks H again for the heads up..

Out of curiosity, why would it affect brightness? Is it like cinema 3D where frames switch from one eye to the other, leaving one dark for half a frame? I thought the res was split and so two images would be seen simultaneously. If that's the case, why would it need to be brighter?

I *think* there are 2 x LCDs, one behind the other so more light woudl eb needed to illuminate them both rather than just one?

I believe some of the virtual console games will be 3D.

If you don't look straight on, 3D mode enabled does make the screen look duller.
