Chalk me up as another one in the 'PES is back' camp. I've been playing the demo pretty much non-stop since it hit PS+ and it appears to be not only comfortably the best PES since WE10J League, but in my eyes also plays a much better game of football than the current gen FIFA's that have tempted me away from PES in the last two years.
Will be hammering this on PS3 when the final game drops, so add me if people fancy a sound beating or two

My problem has been getting used to the 360 pad! I've played pes on playstation for the last 5-6 years or so at least, and its well strange having tiny R1 L1 buttons to run and switch player!

A year of 360 and still not used to it. I find the stick positions to be all wrong. It is so hard to get the direction of both sticks correct due to them not being at the same level.

I always use the triggers for run/change player, far more comfortable in my opinion

Playing WE6:FE on the Cube and PES on the original Xbox got me used to the triggers and I've played that way ever since - even though the 360 PES's insist on defaulting to the shoulder buttons.

Wow that looks great I take it most of you guys will be getting PES on PS3? I'm planning to get the PS3 version and FIFA on 360.

Both for me too I'll give the 360 version of PES a try but if the online is laggy again I'll be getting rid of it asap for the PS3 version. Do 360 pad converters exist? I really do detest the DS3....

I'm not sure why you reckon the PS3 version won't be laggy if 360 version is? I imagine it will be poor net code all round if it fails online again.

Sorry, I should have explained what I meant. I was trying to say that if the game isn't up to scratch online then I'll just be playing it offline so I may aswell play the PS3 version with an option file than put up with all the unlicensed stuff on 360. Unless there's a way to get option files on 360 now? It was my understanding they couldn't be done?

You could do this last year using the HDD transfer cable and connecting that to the PC with your HDD attached. Not sure how you'd now do that with the 360 slim but hopefully they'll find a way to drop the option file onto USB keys.

I cant remember the process but some googling will surely locate it.

Actually, if I remember correctly, there was an official 360 update back in April which allowed for data to be transfered via USB. So no need for extra peripherals etc.

Even better... thanks for that. I think I'd gotten rid of PES by then so I wasnt aware of that. I am really liking the new demo though, just stuck a pre-order down for this and FIFA together as they both seem great this year.

Edit: Ah ok you meant the official USB update from MS, I thought you meant Pro Evo got an update to allow transferring edit files through this method. I think there's still some restriction on manipulating option files on the PC and making them still work on the 360 when you load them up.
