Sure it would have been nice if this game was great but only to have 2 great games and not just because I am so desperate for PES to rise again, who cares.
For 5 years in a row now, PES has been dire. PES 6 on 360 was good but lacked all of the content. PES 2008-2009 were stupid arcade fests and PES 2010 was a disaster of unresponsive gameplay and crap animation.
Now it seems with this bug the PES 2011 is actually broken offline. Everytime you run wide it will feel like an expliot. The entire single player experience is now void. If they don't patch it asap they are idiot. If they do patch it, phew, they would have rescued a decent football game but that patch needs to come fast.
What has happened to this once leading series? Seabass Takatsuka once pioneered football and sports games in general with PES.
I have no true colours. I don't care if my football game comes from EA or Konami. I just want to play the best simulation of football and there is only one place I can get that.
If in 1 or 2 years time Fifa goes wrong and PES becomes amazing again I will play that. I don't care for loyalties, all that does is breed complacency and both companies have been quilty of that in the past.Comment

It's true that it isn't good news about the bug, but to come in and laugh and say that's what we deserve is disrespectful to my family. I am loving PES2011, but you insinuate that I am blind and loving it because it's simply PES.
We all know Konami dropped the ball big time, but I truely believe that 2011 game is a massive step back to form, sadly now tarnished by a silly oversight or two. You laugh at and celebrate with smugness.
Do one.
Really riles me that people, mainly FIFA candle carriers (nothing against FIFA the game), come in here refusing to believe that someone really likes current PES.Comment

You seem to forget that some of us have also played PES for many years. In my cupboard I have every Winning Eleven game from 1995 to 2007. I have every right to criticise this game as much as I want.Comment

Still doesn't fill me with confidence. The bug seems to be tied into how the AI's pressure settings are set. Someone could of tested it once and it never happened, "oh it's fixed"! When it's not. Fingers crossed.Comment

Personally I think if this was released as anything other than pes it would be slated. The animation is last gen at best, the commentary is lame, keeper and team ai horrendous and the ball physics regularly go mental. The only plus points I see are the player likenesses and occasionally the passing works like its supposed to.Comment
