No, only Fifa until PES drops to sub ?20 then I may give it a go.

Yes, there seems to be rather a lot of space to knock the ball around in with little challenge.

You reckon? I'm finding my players get crowded too quickly and running with the ball is cumbersome.

Well I certainly found it a lot easier after playing Fifa. Players felt more solid on PES also.

I also find the shooting from range to be a bit too accurate. I have scored a 30 yard volley with busquets(sp?) I'm not that familiar with him in real life but i wasnt expecting it in the game!
And the lack of the advantage rule is a bit stupid.

Old PES used to have advantage right?

It did indeed. I think PES 4 was the first to introduce it? Very odd to take it out.

If that is the case then that is a bad mistake from Konami. Very strange.

Will still be a day one purchase for me as I'm enjoying it lots. Just praying that the online service works for once (since PES6) as I really fancy that Online Master League. But like R Kelly, "my mind's telling me no", no the online will still suck. Fingers crossed.

The last one I tried online was 08 and it was shockingly bad. That was probably the beginning of my loss of faith in pes.

Also this is really nit-picking but it appears the linesmen arent actually functional. If you watch they only put their flags up when the referee blows his whistle - they never raise them during actual play. Its a bit weird.

PES 2008 was probably the laggiest it's ever been. 2010 on the other hand was arguably the best it's ever been. Still not perfect though, matches between me and my friend that I play PES every week with remain an offline affair as we can't take them seriously online, but it was close so if they can improve on that for this year it should at least be functional at long last.

They don't raise their flag until after the offside player gets to the ball (as in football) but the ref blows as soon as he touches it. It's more of a case of the ref being too quick than the linesman being too slow. This isn't a bad thing, it speeds up the whole offside process

I believe in real football the linesman can raise his flag and the ref can if necessary ignore it if it proves to be of no advantage to the defending team. The linesmen are pointless on this.

He can do that but more often than not these days they keep their flags down until the offending player touches the ball. That is what they are instructed to do now, even though it causes alot if annoyance to both fans and players.
