Gave it more play again today and it is good. I was starting to play the ball around nicely. I think the passsing is a tad better in this. I really did enjoy it a lot until I put Fifa on.

Konami have done well to transform this game in 1 year.

Getting both this year then? I still favour fifa but i like the fact the pes demo is long enough to give you a proper go. Fifa's is over too quickly!

            What's with:

            - That stupid ****bag camera angle, that seems to pan to an isometric viewpoint when you approach the goal? It's totally rubbish and offputting, and to only have a limited choice of angles on the demo is pisspoor.
            - That rubbish jerk that happens, like a dvd jumping. It ALWAYS happens when you're in possession, and stinks of cockcheese. WTF?? Having the action freeze then jump is dire and woeful rolled into a bollock baguette.
-The slow, ghost-like feel of the players? Everyone's so light and flimsy, it's like playing with the biggest set of pussies this side of a 100 gal gangbang.

I get that you don't like it, but any need for all the cockcheese? Acting hard on the internet.

Firstly, you can't change that swing on the camera now. You just have to get used to it. Personally, I like it. It's a feature I used to adjust in old PES games.

I'm not sure where these jerky moments are coming from? Are you on 360? I haven't witnessed any.

Trust me - if you'd experienced the jerk, you would confirm the cockcheese. It happened 4 times in one game (360). The image would freeze for a second, then 'jump' to where it really should be, but missing out that second inbetween. It usually meant that a player in space with the ball, after a freezejump, was now being closed down with no time to pass. Or, pulling the trigger to shoot ---> freeze ---> jump to save being parried. Most odd.

And WTF with that camera? Every PES I've ever played has had a fixed camera at a good height that pans steadily. No swing to a weird angle. It's a bit rotten for us old stick-in-the-muds to adjust to. Not only is it a new game engine to get used to, but a wazz camera angle too. BBBOOOOOOO. Between it and the jumpy cheesefest, it was a real struggle to score. An almost Microsoft-esque level of technotyranny to force players to adopt a certain feature through a lack of choice.

For the record, I thought it had a lot of potential, and I'll be playing it more later. I scored a cracking volley with that big nosed bell-end Ibra, and laughed at the ability of Lahm to outpace Messy. I didn't hate it, but felt a little bit let down by some of the stupider aspects of the demo. The passing was canny, although it curls/spins far too much on the deck.

These jerky moments sound like a 360 version thang.

Played about another 10 matches - I have still yet to concede from open play on the hardest difficulty. Or even feel like i might concede. Anyone else fiding the ai a bit on the passive side??

Not really sold on this or FIFA this year. Yes, it does seem to be an improvement, but it's still not clicked yet. Kinda reminds me of back on the PS2 where you had to learn the game again every year.

I'll give it more of a go, but no doubt I'll end up getting both.

That's a good thing though, FormEEDwoD. Especially since the recent ones have been a bit chod.

It is. In fact, it's quite refreshing, especially after the dire PES2009. I remember it used to take a few days for everything to start feeling intuitive, so I'll definitely give it a go.
