I spent tonight trying to clear Operations mode as the ISA in Botzone, addictive stuff! Really hard too, even with the AI at recruit level. I'm gaining a lot of confidence with the Move stuff but I can't figure out how to melee. That attack was probably mapped to R3 or something, what's the move equivalent?

Then it tells me to adjust the brightness until I can see the Helghast logo but nomatter how high I put it I can never see the logo, just a black circle in the middle of surrounding red. Any ideas?

that's an old problem too. for me this already happened in Killzone 2 and also in the recent MP Beta. and i am using a very bright LCD Full HD panel which even supports xvYCC colour range. but no matter what setting the symbol wont show up. i really wonder about people using a Plasma display with even lower brightness...

have to add: setting the xvYCC to Auto or Off helped to improve the overall picture quality significantly!

I'll try adjusting the setting on the pS3, see if that helps. I've never known what setting combo to put on my ps3/tv.

good idea. i've just checked mine:

Display Setting: 1080p HDMI
Cross Colour Reduction Filter: On
RGB Full Range (HDMI): Full
Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super White: On
Deep Colour Output (HDMI): Auto

please let me know if switching these does help.

Your problem is likely RGB Full.

Its a myth that it makes your picture better, although its ofcourse all down to personal taste. Full should only be used for a PC Monitor.

Full makes black levels too strong, giving a kind of distorted picture. I noticed when I finally flicked it off, and looked at darker pictures.

For a regular TV, I'd suggest going back to Limited and then fiddle with the brightness.

Me too. I had to read up on the sound output options as well, given that Automatic doesn't seem to work for me via HDMI

I'm going Collectors so I continue my trend of limited Sony packaging (I've got R&C, inFamous, Heavy Rain & Uncharted 2 CEs) and I don't need another pad or Helghast goggles.
