The whole demo shows you exactly where need to go to complete the lessons and learn the different moves, it even highlights the cables/pipes that you're supposed to travel along.

Although it's certainly not the best way to demonstrate the open world environment, when you've people queuing to play the trial it simplifies things if people get a simple jump on this, slide along here, attack this car experience rather than just allowing them to mess around.

You can see in the video that there's more than one to get the locations they want you to get to but if you don't chose the one that they tell you to chose then you can't continue with the trial.

The early demo of the first game did the same sort of thing when you were learning the moves.

Some on stage gameplay showing a far more suburban area.

The same area as above but it's direct feed gameplay from PAX.

It's looking very pretty in the HD video, I love the music, the sound design seems to come straight from Ben Burtt and people seem confident that it is running at 60fps at the show so it's all good so far.

        EDIT:
An interview from the show with some more gameplay.

There were rumbles at Gamescon that Sucker Punch was considering 3D support for this which could prove to be quite effective. Leaping from a sky scraper could be quite vertigo inducing. I'm liking the look of this one

The climb up the central building on the second island in the first game is one of VERY few games that's ever made me feel scared about falling - I'm not sure I could handle it in 3D!

that is looking brilliant, the first one is one of my fave games of the current wave of consoles and that looks to be shaping up as a proper sequel turning everything up.

if they've kept the flow and jumping of the original then its looking to be a winner for me.

I'm with No.45, some of the climbing in the first got me very sweaty palmed so the thought of doing it in in 3D is a bit scary.

As some of you may be aware, the awesome 2D comic book style cut-scenes from inFAMOUS have returned in inFAMOUS 2 (only this time, they're much much prettier ;)). Below is one of the early cut-scenes from the game, "Welcome to New Marais" - which is the introduction to Cole's new playground. This was premiered [...]

Ugh, I'm really not a fan of the new Cole voice.

Is it the same voice actor? It sounds like him at times and then you get a little Soutern twang on occasion.

Nope. That was their original excuse for giving him a graphical overhaul - they've messed his voice up so they might as well go the whole hog!

In celebration of the upcoming release of inFAMOUS 2, Sucker Punch Productions and DC Comics today are announcing all-new chapters in the inFAMOUS storyline. Penned by William Harms and illustrated by artist Eric Nguyen, the series bridges the story between inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 and chronicles Cole's struggle to save Empire City before fleeing to [...]

looks great, but why are the monsters just standing about waiting to be killed?

This is still a long way from release but it's one of the games I'm looking forward to most this year.
