Wiggler and Honey Queen? Really, those are the best characters you could come up with? Why not say, Magikoopa or some of Bowser's kids or something?

Also, could someone change the title to "Mario Kart 7" please, for some reason it bothers me.

Cramming Wiggler into a kart just seems odd, not to mention the queen bee's massive arse. Not the best choice of characters to be honest, but they've had worse (waluigi!!)

Waluigi is such a stupid character that he's actually good in my book.

Isn't it going to be pretty hard to see the track behind Honey Queen's giant behind compared to someone like Toad or Mario?

Or Rosalina from Galaxy... (what? I like karting as the girly characters when I play cause it winds people up...)

I wish there wouldn't be any differences between characters like in Mario Kart Wii, I mean apart from small, medium and large types. I always play as Luigi but it sucked when that stupid Peach clone... *can't even remember the name* ...Daisy, was the best "medium" character and Funky Kong was the best "large" character. Ugh! Just make all the types same so people can play with whatever they want and not have handicap, I mean it's kinda stupid that you can't compete with "Mario" in Mario Kart...

But Miyamoto doesn't like players being able to customise their Karts and suggests future entries won't change things much either.

Weird that Miyamoto is dissing the thing before they've even launched it. That's not like him at all.

I'm not too worried, over the last few years I've found Miyamoto's legacy to be greater than the man himself. He's no doubt brilliant when he makes a game but these days he's effectively just a staff manager with most of the games made by seperate teams and often his involvement means the removal of as many good ideas as the ones he adds. I've still got enough faith in Retro Studios to believe their involvement will make MK7 a better entry than MK: DD, MK: DS or MK Wii were

The retro track list looks pretty damn good! Rainbow Road SNES, bloody hell! Hopefully fully without borders like the original.

And I actually share Miyamoto's concern. I hope it's not going to be the case of everyone building the same super car and using that online.

Nintendo basically admit Mario Kart was supposed to be a 2012 release but became a priority earlier in the year. Essentially they have made the new tracks and Retro made the old ones. Given the scores are decent it suggests a kick up the arse does Ninty alright.
