The whole avatar creation is more nintendo than the miis, right down to the sound effects.

Can someone tell me how do you change the background that your avatar is in? I'm looking at my friends list and they have spaceships and giant robots!

I think that background is random for your friends list.

As predicted, Live is melting you can't see your avatar image on Xbox.com or anywhere you have linked it.

The Friends Channel is quite long and unwieldy (thank God for the L and R bumper skim) but one thing I do like is that you can see who people are chatting / in a party with .

It did confuse me at first and left me wondering who they hell they were when I saw three people standing around someone on my Friends list.

Yeah the new avatar friends list is rather bulky and fairly pointless when it is that size. I'll be using the guide one methinks.

The PREMIUM themes do that. There's 4 available in the theme section at the top that are available from the get-go.

There's also a Fable 2 and Last Remnant one (with the word PREMIUM after them) on the marketplace for 250 points.

Has anyone transferred data from 20gb > 60gb HDD? I assume it works the same as a 120gb and you don't need a different cable?

It's just been said that they will be adding new clothes for the Avatars every 2 weeks for 6 months.
It hasn't been said if you will have to pay for these or not (I'm guessing not, because everyone will have to have them on their machine for it to work)
