I hardly every use the front end. I jump straight to the guide, which has everything I need in a convenient, well organised manner. I cannot get on with the NXE at all, just looking for friends online is a chore - looks pretty, but poor functionality.
I'd be happy for an option to boot straight into the Guide, would probably save a few seconds at boot up as well.

I still cannot believe how uninspired the new dashboard is, its basically the same as the current one with anything interesting stripped from it. Also I cannot believe how hideous they have made the separate alphabet letters look.
Ironically MS where saying how the Android interface was terrible in an article recently. And how they had made some strong interface decisions and where singing their own praises. If they think this is good they need their heads checking.

The xbox team should look at the work done at the wm7 interface, clean, easy to read and provides you all the information you need quickly, or the xbm. They work because there simple.
With the xbm, the simplicity has been kept consistent all the way through its lifespan, just with extra sections (icons) added as and when needed. A games console doesn't need anything more in my opinion.
