I loved EDF 2017, can't wait to this hopefully it's actually built for the 360 and doesn't look play and look like a PS2 port

If it's pretty much identical to the last version I'll still buy it. I don't care how it compares to the PS2 version it was still fun. (not that I'm not hoping for better)

Oh man, 2017 was way, way beyond EDF2 graphically and in terms of framerate. I don't think it was a port.

Still never played any of these games but they seem to be rather popular.

They're only popular with the people that play them really, just a shame that it's a small circle that do. There's so many things they could do make this amazing but I'm keeping my expectations nice and low, as I know even if I were to get another 50 levels for the (inferior) 360 version I'd love it to bits.

            EDF! EDF! EDF!

It's the easiest thing in the world to approach a budget title that has ropey graphics, seemingly very basic, untactical gameplay, and a rotten framerate, and slag it off to high heaven.

But many of those that do take the plunge, especially in co-op, have a very soft spot for the games. It is sheer mayhem; very good simplistic fun, and takes you back to an uncomplicated age. It reminds you of why you played games in the first place, to have a bloody good time. Yet in the later difficulty levels, you need some tactical nous to get through to the end, should you wish to try.

Yeah I would imagine that is why many left them alone. When I was playing SOS The Final Escape recently people couldn't understand why I was playing it and not some HD 360 game.

Can't see past the visuals you see.

SOS is a great little game! The visuals in EDF are often hilarious, if you catch an ant just right, it'll fly miles up into the air and disappear.

SOS is indeed great, really enjoyed it and although the visuals didn't bother me I couldn't help but think what a great idea it was and how spectacular it could be. Picked up the second one mint last month for £6 on US.

Fattys been killed! (Fan-my-dodd) Best game series ever! I don't care if it's not online coop. I'd like to see a megamix of the last three with some new stuff thrown in.

                          Someone of neogaf reckons:

"I hear that Sandlot are not involved. D3 were looking for a western dev for it about two years ago - just before Namco bought them out."

This better not be a cock job!

                            I wouldn't worry too much!

Part of the beauty of this series is its simplicity, you blow up bugs and stuff with increasingly more powerful weapons that you pick up along the way.

The shopping list for this 4th game is quite straightforward if you're familiar with the previous titles: online co-op, a bit more variety in levels, enemies and vehicles and smoother visuals (although I suspect most fans would sacrifice this if it meant having less or smaller enemies being displayed).

Well, my point is that you can only ruin this if you're deliberately trying to.

Anyone here played Zangeki No Reginleiv on Wii? It makes all the improvements that EDF 2017 should have made... I'm sure this new one will be ace, since they clearly have the framework sorted already.

Is that Dynamic Slash? Has that ever had a western release?
