Godhand is hardly underrated. I seem to see it mentioned on forums all the time in a favourable light. I'm not saying it doesn't deserve the praise, but I think despite some critics overlooking it, it's got the repuatation it deserves.

The demo is such an oddity, it's a shame, Showdown has more than enough content that Codie's could have had the first 4 or so events playable in the demo so give players a better impression of what the games like.

Oh I love the idea of this topic ! I wish I had all my consoles to try to find these games.

I can't believe no one mentioned the best OutRun ever (for me) : OutRun 2019. I never had the original before Emulators and Shenmue so this one was very fun and entertaining. I love the soundtrack, it's still on my playlists 15 years after...

I can't stop thinking of underrated games I liked, it's like I only played that !

Spikeout Battle Street, it has some flaws like crap Xbox Live, split screen multi-player (for a beat'em all seriously) or weird control to pick up an object (Down + X + Y ....) but there is a lot of good SEGA spirit in it.
Tons of moves, combos, levels, bosses, weapons, characters to unlock (51 !!)

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines is a real gem.

When I started playing it I met a character that made me really feel like I was part of the vampire underworld and there were all these echelons of blood suckers above me. I was totally drawn in.

It has been really well supported by the community over the years and there are a load of patches out there that fix crashes and broken quests.

Just to be clear, I am not into Twilight.

The last part about twilight made me laugh so much, its sheer genius !!. Bloodlines is PC only right..? I always wanted to play it but Im not much of a pc gamer. Is the community still strong ?.

Im with VP on Sherlock holmes, its very atmospheric and time consuming. Well worth a play considering how cheap it will be now...
