Totally agree. Ballad of Gay Tony was going in that direction so I'm hoping that was a sign they realised that GTAIV was too serious. I really want the fun to come back into the series in a big way.

Something I liked about the saints row games were how fast everything moved. With gta 4 it felt too weighed down and slow, I'd like to be able to move faster and control thing a bit more fluidly in this new one - if that makes sense.
All being said it does look good, but then do did gta 4 in its lead up.

Hope they pay more attention to the radio - music and chat stations. Lazy selections (eg reggae station featuring Bob Marley exclusively) and plain unfunny (Laszlo, Julia bloody Wotsername, etc., just saying 'wank' and 'tit****' at every opportunity in lieu of any actual comedy). IV was only GTA where I drove around with the radio turned off.

Ballad was okay, an improvement on what went before it, but still a shadow of the PS2 titles because the poor GTA4 mechanics held it back. I didn't get on with Lost as like mono says, it had none of the bloat. For me, its the excess that makes GTA what it is, no GTA has ever had a good or well told story (despite what Rockstar thinks), really wish they'd stop pursuing that avenue when it comes to GTA.

I think the phone is something to do with your typical social network profile photo that young girls do.
You know when yah check yah self out in the mirror and realise you are not as hideous as you think and want to share the moment with the world by snapping a picture of yourself in the mirror...
Perhaps the ability to superimpose your picture into a character is available in the game? Or maybe superimposing your own face in the style of a poster...
Heck it's probably a fashion thing to keep the series upto date by posing in a way that is typical of the time...
