That's fine but VC isn't a real place and some license for the sake of fun should be taken. This was the main issue with GTAIV, which made the driving about as fun as sitting in traffic for real. When 90% of a game is driving and you'd rather take a taxi, it's worth playing with the environment rather than aiming for real.

I wasn't a fan of IV at all. I think the only reason I finished it (the storyline) was for the G. I had little interest in exploring which I'd loved doing in the previous games. I have the DLC but haven't touched it. I do wonder whether I'd just become GTA'd out. So my expectations and enthusiasm for this are low.
Hopefully that means I can only be wowed and amazed.

If you've got Gay Tony, you should go for it - it's really good. I had much more fun with it than with the main campaign.

I always thought Rockstar should have included everglades in Vice City with those boats with the massive fans.

They need to revist that I think (hope, pray).

Well, whatever this ends up being, I don't think it's going to match up to what our friends in Taiwan have put together...

The folks at Next Media Animation—who've become infamous for presenting bizarre CGI takes on the news—speculate on what the teaser for Rockstar Games' just announced upcoming sequel will look like. Honestly, while it apes some of the visual signifiers of the GTA games, the silent clip makes close to no sense…

              WTF? That's Brilliant.

But that's CLEARLY NOT GTA V, that's obviously Bully 2!

Eight-year-old "gangstas" smoking and the 5-year-old kid driving a motorcycle were priceless.

Like to be in location like Vice City or San Andreas or new location, please don't be in Liberty City.

I could bet a pretty large amount of money that V will not be in Liberty City since IV was. I think they would hurt the game and sales a lot if they wouldn't give the players a new city to play in.

Edit: Also, if they had wanted to use Liberty City they probably would have released more episodes for IV, but since they didn't I'm 100% sure they moved to design a completely new city.

And I'd be amazed if it wasn't a US city. The US is still the biggest market, and any other non-US city they might chose would hurt sales there.

Personally Vice City was my favourite, although I really enjoyed GTA4 as well. San Andreas was too big for my liking, not enough focus and all that having to work out etc was dull.

That being said, knowing someone who works at Rockstar North has it's advantages, especially when they are looking for peoples names to go on license plates, checkout the 5th license plate in the table on this page: http://gta.wikia.com/Custom_Vehicle_License_Plates

Doesn't anyone else want a uk or euro setting? I think US has been done to death now. Anything would be better than that pants sony game on the ps2, was it called the getaway?

Yeah would be nice to see a UK, Euro or Japan setting, maybe even Australia for some laughs, but if its gonna be USA again then PLEASE let it be Vice City.

Thinking about it, that money pattern in the '5' might indicate Vice City during the 80's cash greedy days

I'm expecting a Vegas / Sin City setting this time. Though after the last game I'll probably give it a miss, unless they sort out the controls and go back to the humour of the PS2 titles

                              E3 footage now up:

Wow the realism is amazing but they got to sort out the character movement.
