An upgraded version this Christmas with a piece of DLC thrown in would get a PS4 purchase from me. I love this game. I would like to see more than 1080p though.

One of the things that really shows GTA 5 is on a system that is buckling under the weight of it is the quantity of pedestrians, cars etc. If they could make the city feel significantly busier and have proper crowds of people on LS's busiest shopping streets, that would be fantastic.

Currently areas like LS Airport feel practically deserted, there are so few people hanging around the terminal. I think it would give the game's atmosphere a massive boost if they could make bigger crowds.

Obviously they would also need to add a flamethrower to the game to allow you to torch said crowds too.

didn't touch the game yet and will wait patiently for the next gen or PC version. this should be a major visual upgrade considering they take the extra time of the disclosure agreement to optimize the code for every hardware. i might end up buying the PC version mainly because of the prospect of great mods showing up eventually.

PC version should be very interesting, especially once the modders get a hold of it given how much was accomplished on IV. I'd still wager the chances of an XBO/PS4 version ever being made are close to nil though.

There are references to a PC and PS4 version in the current gen versions config files

Really? The last GTA even came out on OSX and mobile phones.

Rockstar has slowly ported the PS2 GTA's to mobile etc and in time I imagine 4 and 5 will get released once the tech allows but only as is. Beyond a belated PC version they never bother with facelift editions for new machines (they never even cashed in with a GTA era HD collection). The gain is minimal and all it would do is reduce anticipation for the next instalment by reducing the wow, not doing so has worked well for them so far. I'd expect it to be more likely peeps will eventually be playing via PSNow than via a bespoke edition.

Can't remember where i seen it but apparently if you get the PS4 version you can use the save data from PS3 and 360!

That's just the online data I think. Read that somewhere. Never played the game myself but probably will on PS4.
