I derive more enjoyment from GT1 than I do GT5. I hope 6 doesn't seems as weighted towards a pay model as implied in this thread.

I'd rather that stuff wasn't in the game, but I'm still going to play it and love it. I deliberately avoided the 1 million credit preorder bonus because to me, one of the best things about starting a new GT game is being poor and winning in slower cars that you gradually improve and become attached to. Playing the games like that is conducive to developing your skills. If all somebody else wants out of GT6 is to thrash around in supercars with all the driving aids on and still spin every other turn, then I hope they have fun, but they're not going to be very fast!

I gave up on Gran Turismo because I DON"T want to drive a ****ty car for ages to eventually get to the good stuff and refuse to pay for it.
Driving games for me are about escapism and experiencing cars I could never afford.

I will wait for the reviews on this one, but, if I have to drive loads of family cars for hours, then forget it. I cross my fingers in hope!

The way they are selling it is that the microtransactions are purely there for people to avoid the grind. They're not necessary for any part of the game.
Cancelled my Amazon pre-order and picking up in store in GAME on Friday, no free credits for me, just 5 of the Anniversary cars. Must have this game Friday without fail as the missus is out for the evening

These two posts made my day. They could do something like that. Of course they won't, but Team Ninja did it with Ninja Gaiden Black(you'd be called Ninja Dog if you used any of the helper arm bands. Plus they were pink and colours like that to act as a constant embarrassing reminder ).

Not so sure about that driving wise. Brands is a great track go to and watch though as you can see most of the track from certain viewing areas.

Love driving around it in games, fast, cracking start finish area, amazing first corner. Love it!
