That's interesting, my 60GB phat gave up the ghost after exiting playTV on one occasion too.

They must have discontinued the 120GB as well, infact didnt Sony replace it with the 160GB?

People saying that they'll put their current hard drives in a new console better remember to back up first. When you put a new drive in a PS3 it formats doesn't it?

IIRC my 80gb phat asked before formatting, but it was a brand new drive.

Yes, drives need to be formatted when put in a new PS3. I'll have toi sub to PS+ to back up my dark souls save too. Arse.

Sony says they've not been aggressive enough in chasing the family market. A cheap PSthree would be a great start to turning that around. Sony have just recently released the Red, Silver and White Slim models as LE's also.
