Yeah, the first half of the levels are like Starfox, and the second half are more like Sin & Punishment 2, only not as 'on rails' and minus the flying. Take away the in-depth scoring system of S&P2 and replace it with weapon collection/customisation and you have Kid Icarus.

The difficulty select prior to each stage really is novel. It's basically a slider bar and the more you ramp it up the more you're rewarded. I find the max setting to be truly impossible with my current weapon and skill load-outs, and I've fair caned it.

It sounds awesome, but I'll finish MGS3 first I reckon. I've got MH4 as my main anyway, so no great rush.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

        God I love Kid Icarus.

Aye - 'tis a lot of fun this game, however I still can't quite work out how you get your sandbox character into the game. I tried it after our session last night and had to start a new campaign to carry on with all the money that I'd got from smashing stuff up.

And I still want to make the massive dildo machine as well.

It made me laugh when I stumbled into your sandbox game last night and found you wearing nothing but your pants...

It felt like I was interrupting something.

Are you saying that if you got to, say, level 10, $100,000 and wearing just your pants, when you continue your main game, you don't have them? I think that makes sense, as your real-time save needs to be exactly how you left it.
I did NG+ and started with the money, stats and Viking hat I'd acquired in sandbox mode.

It's a pain not being able to completely co-op the game, but it's still brilliant fun.

Hey, in my game we need to get back to the saferoom with that cowboy gambler and the fit bird, Rebecca Chang.
If you could focus on clearing a path in the zombies as opposed to photographing her chest, that'd be super!

Oh and you said "It doesn't matter if Denyse dies!", there's an achievement for keeping her alive all the way to the end-of-game bad guy and she attacks him! That sounds tougher than the "Frank the pimp" one from the first game.

I'm only playing if we can take the reporter back to the shop with the dildos. I've still got Denyse alive in my game so if needed we can co-op in that..

Had to go back a few posts to figure out you guys weren't discussing some new Leisure Suit Larry MMO game.

I think in k0pp0's mind, he is!

I've had a look through the achievements and it looks like there's a fair few fun ones we can do together.

The sandbox mode is fun and a great distraction, but it's a bit aimless.
We can dress like ninjas (kill 1337 zombies) so we won't get bothered by the zombies, then find all the PP stickers to photograph.
We can learn a few more recipes and weapon combos and get some gold challenge medals.
Combo cards are gained from rescuing survivors, levelling up and completing Sandbox challenges. There are a few dotted around the map, so we could look for those too.

So much fun to be had! (Whilst dressed like a woman, probably).

Despite its awful script, translation, couldn't care less story and embarrassing imagined characters I am actually enjoying PS2 Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams quite a bit. The addition of RPG lite elements works as a development from the earlier games and actually makes me wish this series would make a return on this or the next gen consoles.

Since summer is over and skimpy clothes are no longer viable it was either get a personality or lock myself in and game through the winter months...

So yeah, so far I've only been playing Pikmin 3 which I excitedly pre-ordered but then left sat sealed (along with New Super Luigi U) since launch. I'm determined to complete it without killing any Pikmin, which I've managed so far thanks to a lot of trial and error. It's making some of the later boss battles a nightmare though...

Next up: Rayman Legends (on Xbox 360, despite the fact I have a Wii U, for the 1000G) or Bioshock Infinite DLC.

God I love this game. I'd pay for a HD version of it.
