WiiU is a cool console, I don't think anyone will be disappointed if they purchased one - especially as ZombiU is a fantastic game. Sadly NSMBU is a steaming pile of **** and 3rd party games are generally rubbish...

TBH though I am half expecting Nintendo's update system to come crashing down around their ears for the EU peeps, as we get treated like second class citizens.

what an total rubbish launch - seems to be full of conversions - where are the games from the big Japanese hitters? About as exciting as a wet weekend in Blackpool.
Dont know what it is about the WiiU, but i'm getting faint whiffs of lack of support, before the thing is even UK launched.

Just got a $5 off voucher plus double points on a WiiU game apart from Just Dance 4 (as there is a separate voucher for that) so I think either Sonic Racing Transformed or AC3 may be purchased later. So much for not getting more launch games...
It took an email from BestBuy to show me you don't need the console on to use the TV remote functions of the GamePad. How sad is that.

I am not a Nintendo hater, this will be the first ever Ninty machine I have not bought at launch. But genuinely cannot see any reason to buy this.
Hope you all enjoy yours and [prove me wrong!
so basically if you play a lot of games, you will want a Wii U now.
It's also worth pointing out that the console isn't based around a silly motion control gimmick and you can actually play proper games on its pad, so this is likely to be more of a gamers console than the Wii ever was and should have developers making a lot more games that people like us actually want to play on it.Last edited by rmoxon; 28-11-2012, 11:59.

There is no real reason for developers to back the WiiU over any current gen machines, unless they have a game that either uses the gamepad to maximum effect or have a game that requires that extra grunt the WiiU provides, assuming it has the extra grunt in the first place.
Nintendo need to do what M$ did at the 360 launch, get down and dirty and get some exclusive deals going on. Bayonetta 2 is a good start, but they need to do more ... A lot more, given that a next gen machnie could be out in 12 months.
