I am no fanboy Alan. I own every console known to man (and a few Chinese handhelds unknown to science). I am just sick of sweeping statements of opinion past off as fact. Rayman is 1080p...fact

And you know ive nearly every system, except the WiiU,. Just disappointed in it, and the fact i was robbed for the 3DS, and Nintendo still think they can pull these stunts. Make it 200 and a game cheap, and then im in.

Ok so "no WiiU game will ever be 1080p" should read "no complex 3d WiiU game will ever be 1080p"

Rayman looks pretty lush so the question is how complex is too complex for 1080p. We need the opinion of a resident expert here methinks

They've got a great 2D engine for that game for sure. TBH it's reasonable to expect that to be 1080p 60fps. The vita game is 60fps at native res albeit that's 1/4 full HD resolution but it is running on a handheld. Silly to say no game would ever be 1080p on WiiU. Some games styles are clearly so undemanding that they could achieve that.

Regarding WiiU's specs. Some bits are better than PS3 and 360 and some are worse. It's tailored to what Nintendo want from the device I imagine. The PS3's multiple 3GHz cores didn't help it produce 60fps 1080p games very often; I imagine because the GPU wasn't up to it. The increased RAM in WiiU might well enable it to keep up with the new PS and Xbox for a while.

Nintendo wore a Dick Turnip masks to sell me that. But theres even better, im so stupid ( yes yes) i traded it in for an XL. I love my 3DS, but Nintendo must have seen me coming.

Your wasting your time dave ... Sadly there seems to be a few peeps here who's sole purpose is to annoy at any opportunity .. I also hate the 'sweeping statements' that get made in general as well.

Unfortunately it also seems that the said peeps just copy and paste verbatim from other sites such as Eurogamer, whose sole purpose is to annoy people and start flame wars as well. It's best just to ignore them in all fairness ...

Why dont you take up knitting as a hobby? You could go the a ladys kitting circle and moan about the price of wool, instead of constantly getting on peoples tits here.
