So do i, along with any self resecting gamer i suspect. I love there business model too, never make a loss on a product, keep the quality high on official products and games, its a great way to run a company. I dont like them making such blatant false statements however. To put in a little context, the gamecube was quite advanced graphics wise when it came out, that was sold at ?199 on launch, nintendo still made a profit on the hardware.

I paid a fortune for PS3 at launch but it played Blu-Rays and had two games *I* really wanted (RFOM and Motorstorm). Also I'd never had an HD console before. WiiU doesn't have any of that for me right now but it'd only take a couple of games I like the look of and I'd be in probably, even at the current price I imagine. I'm hoping the new Aliens game might tempt me as if they get it right it's the ideal platform for it.

i dont regret buying the wiiu at all, but realistically if you own a ps3/360 there really isnt much exclusive stuff at the minute

Zombiu is nice, tank tank tank gets dull very quickly, nano neo is good and nintendoland (although i didnt like it) is decent. Most of the stuff is ports though and in some cases they arent even technically as good. The tablet controller is excellent though and could offer some really nice innovation.

lets hope things pick up software wise and we get an HD remake of f-zero. Soon...

How to do a HD remake of F-Zero with no analogue triggers? I keep bringing this up but never get any answers.

Just do what Konami did with MGS2 on the XBox and release a broken game?

GC launched for 129 didn't it? It was supposed to be 169 but they cut the price about a fortnight before it launched (it might have been 199->169 but my memory is a little fuzzy for anything pre-2004)

Oh hang on, it might of been ?129?, yep just looked it up and it was, anyway, they still made a profit on it even at ?129. Cant believe how long ago it was, seems like only yesterday .

And yet you won't pay that for a WiiU ...

The triggers are used for gradual air-breaking left and right, or both for power-sliding. It's how you perfect corners. The acceleration was purely digital.

Damn right, for starters the gamecube was technically great when released towards the start of a new generation, secondly it was an import so the overhead was justified.

If it was ?299, and i wasnt importing and the gamecube actually had n64 level internals...i wouldnt have bothered.

                            Obviously.

Oh come on .. so basically you are saying the WiiU has got a 'Wii' spec?? ... I mean really .. that's pushing it even for you.

Its pretty obvious the WiiU is more powerful than the Wii, much more, whether its much more powerful than the 360 or PS3 matters not , its still the 'next' Nintendo console regardless, and it still has enough grunt to be called 'the next gen' of Nintendo console.

I think he's saying that the Cube was obviously more powerful than any previous gen console. The same isn't true for WiiU. We've had this power in home consoles for 7 years already.
