Its a **** move but understandable, late ports never sell that well and Rayman Origins didnt shift a huge amount on the 360/PS3 in the first place, if ubi released this now for the Wii U it will sell poorly due to the small install base and on the others 7 months later it will not sell because it will not seem new. If they release all versions at the same time then the Wii U userbase will be much bigger and theres a chance of better sales across all formats.

Really though its been a bit of a **** week for Wii U owners, first Ninja Gaiden 3 defecting and now this and still no sign of any new 3rd party games being announced.

To be fair I will probably still get the WiiU version on release, but its still a shockingly bad decision one way or the other. That Eurogamer article paints a pretty bleak picture if you want to be in the industry these days.

I mean really we have got to the point of 'Chelsea Manager' mentatility now in the world where a new machine comes out and its not even given a chance to sell before people are writing it off. Its not like Nintendo haven't shifted units, jesus give it a chance ffs ... Just because some suit in an office somewhere thinks the WiiU isn't selling as much as an ipad does on day 1, they go and pull **** like this.

I do wonder whats happening to the world sometimes, yeah ok its only a game, but **** me the world will go down rapdily if these idiots in suits don't get a grip soon.

Whats even worse is that the Wii U is still selling better than the 360 and PS3 were at the same points of their releases, yet its being considered a disappointment. Same thing that happened with the 3DS.

That's a piss poor excuse though, I don't like playing the numbers game, but in this case its relevant, Nintendo by all accounts have shifted a good 3 million units in three months, how in any way is that a bad thing? It's actually not that far behind what the Wii was doing at launch.

So lets say 60 - 70 % of current users buy the game that's still 1.8M as ETC said above. That's still a pretty good wad of cash.

What's going to happen when the next gen machines come out and the same thing happens, which it will as new machines cost money, are devs going to cancel projects on those as well?

Sorry not having a go at you, but in the end the industry is heading for a big crash if these retards don't sort it out.

Ubisoft have had my money Rayman since before Christmas. I ordered it via their Ubistore and paid by paypal. Going to complain to them. I only ordered it there because they gave me a voucher after they canned the Wii U AC3 collectors edition I had pre ordered.
